[quote author=bloggerina post=27773831]Hello,
No it will not add to your bills in any way. Nothing to worry abt. If the fibroids were an issue you won't have conceived in the first place. Drink lots of water, eat & rest well. You'll be alright. When you are done with childbearing you can choose to remove your fibroids but for now, nothing do you.
Cheers

[/quotee]Dear Teni, like blogger in a advised, u re very fine and by God's grace will have a normal delivery.ur fibriod is very small.i know someone with 9cm size and she had her first 2 babies via normal delivery.dont opt for CS, lay ur hands on ur belly and tell God what u want . apart from bleeding u may have pains which will depend on the degeneration of the fibriod.in all u shd be fi e.if the fibriod didn't disturb conception, it won't disturb ur delivery.goodluck darl n cheers

@neoski: You may or you may not even be asked. But to be on the save side...do a mail to Dr. Fagbohun that you have changed your mind and ensure you have a print out of thst mail when travelling. We changed ours from Dr. Fagbohun to Doctores para ti because a family friend of mine told us they are good and my wife was to stay with them
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by lizcom25: 2:25pm On Nov 08, 2014
@shagaman: My wife is singing praises of the Drs for the excellent service especially when she was in labour. A particular incident is how the doctor and her nurse rally round her when it was time to push but the baby was up.... For three visits we have done for mom and baby I am pleased that I came to them. This is our personal experience please.

We stayed in Hisgrace lodge and not in suite.

Hi, as far as you dont thrash or talk down on other hospitals. I think nobody should label you a marketer, you should be free to share.

just put to bed over the weekend and my bill was about 6.3k. My doc was 2k. V.birth no epidural.

but truth is am staying with family. Most I spent was. About 200d for few taxi trips for shopping wen I had no free ride and a few meals outside. So my expenses was very limited.

if your budget can carry it, u may not exceed 15k in total.

staying alone wasn't an option and I don't regret it cos I have a fantastic support system here and sake for an unplanned expense that occurred we wld still being within our target

Hello, congrats I would like to know more about your experierience with Turkish Airlines.

Wat's d total duration of d flight, how long did you spend at your stop over in Istanbul, is the Airport in Istanbul diff from Heathrow dat has numerous terminals?

Thanks in anticipation

I enjoyed turkish, I had a 1hr 20mins stopover that was most convenient but the flight to US was forever! Lolz, about 9hrs. The food was mostly vegetable but I was too hungry to complain. Lol! I did not have to change terminals, it's about 20mins walk from the landing terminal from Lagos. Hope I could help

Hello people, been following this forum for a very long time however this is my first time commenting.
Just want to share my experience.
Got my b1 b2 visa last year before I got pregnant, visited this year while 5 months pregnant and already showing however the VO didn't ask any questions regarding having the baby here.
However when I got back, I sent a mail to the embassy and got the standard reply.
Before travelling, I printed all my correspondence with the hospital (gwinnet), doctor oduro, receipt of part payment, medical insurance and the embassy correspondence.
However on getting to the u.s, d VO did not ask to see any of my documents. Just asked the reason for the visit, how long I'm staying, how much i'm carrying and what I do in nigeria. And if I've travelled to the u,s on the current visa. Everything was about 30mins.
I've seen doctor oduro and he's really nice and professional at the same time. It felt like he'd been my doctor from the beginning.

Anyways guys just decided to share my experience with u all. Contrary to what others feel about atlanta POE I had a wonderful experience.
Wish all d intending parents a wonderful experience like mine.
If anyone has any questions let me know.

Cheers

no. But Baltimore is cheaper than where I stayed.

for Baltimore try Moore obgyn and he uses prince Georges. You could also try holycross hospital.

they may give y a bill that's high but if ur delivery is smooth, UL be surprised at the final invoice.

again, I think you should also ask your family for recommendations.

Since you initiated this thread in 2011, numerous families have had their dream come true, hope you also got yours?

Thank you

skelemba:
Good day, my wife and I intend to give birth in the USA as we know that gives the child automatic citizenship.

However, we would require valid information on cost of hospital bill, procedure to register in the hospital. The best state, procedure to obtain the childs nigerian and US passport as we intend to come back within 2 weeks so the locations of both embassy. We already know the cost of visa and flight. We would be grateful if someone with a first hand or second hand experience can but us through with specification info and hospitals addresses, embassy addresses and cost value so we can plan ahead.

Thanks God bless you.

If u have a long stop over in istanbul, it's best you use a lounge. It's about €20 I think. There's free wifi, plenty food and desserts, comfortable seats and even a shower

^^^also, you can break the journey and choose a very long layover. With ur US visa,u can get the turkish e-visa and sleepover in istanbul. But if you r doing this, make sure your bags are tagged to istanbul so you can pick them up. I did this on both legs because the journey is far even tho I wasn't pregnant.

Lakenau is terribly expensive, I posted a comment saying Delaware County Memorial hospital ( DCMH) gave me a quote of 10k and 20k for normal delivery and CS earlier, it was actually Lakenau. I know somebody that works there, they have a program for 1,000usd and then 2,000Usd for Normal /CS, but you have to be gotten into the program. I just don't know how, if the person working there can't get me into the program, what chances do I have. I have freed Lakenau. I would be able to get a number for you from her asap...
