That local Sokoto mallam should be
arrested and tried, he's an intruder. He
ceases to be a member of the HoR the
day he decamped as upheld in our
constitution, and the court has approved
it by asking that it remained that way.
Any member that tries anything funny
close to the premise should be severely
dealt with.
Enough of all the rubbish from these
terrorists in apc. Their lawlessness and
violence must end today, NONSENSE!!
They are so evil and deserve whatever
they get today.
Tambuwal is now an ordinary mallam and
should be shot dead if he and his entourage play that crazy 'gate' stunt at the Assembly grounds.
PERIOD!
The both party voted for him to be speakers and even though he had defected to apc the law state that if there is faction in ur party u can leave the party and there is faction in sokoto so mr speaker decide to leave the papa decieving party or people decieving party. Bro stop being biased here pdp should have challenge him in the court of law. Thanks bro for ur response without using abusive words.....

First and foremost the speaker of the house is from d majority..since he decamped to minority APC he should quit his position as speaker..simple as ABC let's stop blaming the president and face facts..he wants to eat his cake and have it..its not possible...

Are u insinuating that his foot soldiers acted without him being placed in the picture?

In this very case,I can't vouch for him but i know that there are cases where/when i wouldn't expect my lieutenants to get to me prior carrying out certain actions especially when it has to do with safety of lives and properties. They are professionals that is why i put them there and i expect them to be independent in decision making as regards security. I may not know much and that is why i hired or employed them !

The future is not at stake. This is part of politics in the african context. Don't be surprised when you find heroes and the protagonists take a long walk smiling and discussing later. This is a game of interest and I can't be fooled or get swayed by their actions. Do you thing what this guys are after is in your common man's interest? Please don't learn how to die for them.

Some idiotic and savage citizens of nairaland has started trading blows. WTF is your business if tambuwal pitched tent to APC. When osoba left apc, where were your fathers? Probably @ home picking beans, when members of apc in ondo moved to pdp nko, mimiko from labour party to PDp? So why is tambuwal own different? I now understand. He has massive support in the house and those hausa are loyal to him. Jonathan can give pdp chairman 69 for all I care. Tambuwal remains the speaker until the next election. The fact that he got to the post with pdp doesn't mean when he changes party he must step down. FG has created an illusion to everything in the country from finance, law, security etc. If there is truly the rule of law, can soldiers stop tambuwal from entering? Can jonathan use favoritism to pick the CJN? A post that has the highest regard for the judiciary system. See the truth is that jonathan is and remains a literate that lacks education on the presiding of a country. F**ked up nigeria, with a f**ked up president in a f**ked up autocratic party. Take OBJ as a case study! Can't u see he is gradually leaving PDP.

. Sir your assertion is wrong, the house elects for its self a speaker ie (1st among equals) and the speaker is from the house and NOT any political party. In other words, the members elects who they want irrespective of the party. But what happens is that the party that has the majority will always win, because all members will vote one person.

This is a right move.

Is he still the speaker of the House? NO

He got Speaker's post because PDP was and is still the majority in the House. Now that he has pitched his tent with APC which has minority in the House, the right thing to do is to relinquish his position immediately he decamped.

I don't know why some people want to create unnecessary attention.

Hey, you cannot quote Sub-Section 68(1)(a)-(h) without quoting Sub-Section 68(2) which gives action/power to 68(1)(a)-(h);

Now according to 68(2), it is NOT you, me, the police, the President that has the constitutional power to give effect to subsection 68(1), it is the SPEAKER (in the case of HOA) that has the constitutional right to give effect provided there is a SATISFACTORY EVIDENCE.

subsection 68(1) is not automatic.

The constitution is clear.

Tambuwal is causing constitutional crisis. He couldn't have been elected from the minority party to become speaker. He is a lawyer, he knew what he was doing and plain English, it's sabotage.

If he decided to join the minority party, then he should step down as a speaker. He is using the court as a shield. He is leading a mutimy against the goverment by encouraging defection to the opposition.

He knew his brethrens in the North will never remove him if they have to vote in the house because of Tribalism. Don't forget he is a born to rule Fulani man from Sokoto, the seat of the caliphate.

He is lucky we don't have OBJ as president anymore, because by now another speaker will be on seat.

GEJ unfortunately has no choice other than to show some muscle.
