You can use Dudu osun (black soap) as your shampoo, VO5 conditioner as a rinse out conditioner and Cowash. Cantu leave in is pretty great. You can get oils like olive, coconut, mustard e.t.c. Shea butter can also be used for styling your hair.

The only fear I have for my hair is the longer version of it. I will likely end up having coily ends and curly length. My coils will be gone. But let me get there first. :/

if your hair is 4c, forget...no matter how you try, no curl will define cheesy
just learn to rock your natural afro.

I have since learned to carry my fro like that instead of packing lots of gel, oil etc on the hair, later it starts getting sticky.

Embrace your 4c hair. Stop disturbing the hair for curls.

I agree with you jare. Gel can be so annoying that why I hardly use it. I prefer to just wash, detangle and apply hair cream. Like in my today pic, I decided to use a glycerine base product, it makes my hair light and soft. But my hair easily get weight down with stuff like gel.

This is just what I do. I stopped buying every product I see . Now water is my best friend.
If I'm braiding, I put lots or oil then take if off at most 3 week s..
Nice curls btw.

Madam, you need to stop oppressing somebody with this your curl definition cheesy

I get the same comments, "are you going dreadlocked?" or "You are a natural dada, stop fighting it". Makes me wonder what exactly they're seeing.

I feel like relaxing my hair.... sad I'm sorta tired.

People take you the way you present yourself. Natural Dada or not, be proud of that hair and keep it neat.

Don't even think about cutting that hair or else...

Your waves/curls are insane. smiley

Care to share what products you use?

All I do is moisturize with natural oils after I've poo'd/conditioned with Tresemme Naturals, and then put it in twists for the night. I do virtually nothing to it but thankfully it grows w/o much fuss.

thanks for the compliment.
firstly I'm 4a/b. All the pictures above except for the first and last pic have no product on them.
For the first pic, after washing and detangling, I rub meditri 3 hair cream on it.
For the last pics, after washing, and conditioning, I applied a gylcerine base cream and comb the whole hair together(dont try this at home, else your hair may turn into puff)
I'm so lazy that I do only WnG.

We africans have this idea that our hair can't possible grow that long like the Asain/Caucasian. The average african has hair just above or on their shoulder. But do you know there are many African's with long hair and you can be one of them?.
