Anwasia: There are two tenable options in such circumstance, the first being to quit the relationship as the consequences of breeding an SS child is too severe to even imagine and you know it. Second option is going ahead with the marriage but you both must screen the foetus to determine the unborn baby genotype right before it starts growing big, if in any event the baby is a carrier then terminates it. The former certainly is the most viable and best option whilst the latter demands a lot. Its up to the both of you to decide which is best for you. Its heart breaking and feels devastating to give up on someone in matters like this that's no fault of yours. If the love is strong and the both of you are not willing to let each other go then consider the aforesaid latter option. It works good, I know a couple who are doing just fine in same scenario. Its disheartening, but for the sake of your unborn children, you just have to part ways. My colleague during Nysc, found herself in this same situation. The guy knew they are both A.S but didn't tell d girl. When she found out, she had to call it quit. But it wasn't easy for her to do. |

first things first,right now i can't date someone without knowing him genotype, then if it happens my unborn children first, that's a risk that shouldn't be taken even if you are planing to give birth to only one child. |

my dear plsss i knw ds myt be very hard but its better u break up wiv d lady..a couple dat i knw quite well got married 25 yrs ago both as..dey gave birth to 6 children..3 of which turned out to be ss,2 of which ar now dead..my point is dat its very risky..pls try anoda lady.. |

As someone rightly said.. There are medical ways of ensuring AA or AS children tho its not cheap. Its something that can be considered if the love is strong. My girlfriend is AA so I'm happy cos a have long term plans for us |
