Just like the Igbos in Anambra are "oppressing" the Igala/kogi part in the state, so these ones are also taking it out on the Igbo minority in the state.

Illiterate, you spammed my mentions two whole times to display your illiteracy akwaya?

Next time you intend quoting me, ask someone more educated to help you understand the post before declaring your mumurity.

There is a reason why there is an inverted comma on that word. Here is an assignment for you, ask learned folks around you the work of inverted commas in written English. Oponu

seriously I don't understand
what are Igbos doing in non Igbo states? or is it part of the Nigerian govts plan to balkanize Igbo land?
just as oyigbo LG should be returned to Abia is the same way these Izzi tribal lands should be returned to Ebonyi.
Rivers should also give up ONELGA to Imo and Anioma states.
the FG should ensure that arbitrary demarcations are reversed to reduce tensions between the people.

Nwanne you hit the nail on the head. Even non-Igbos would have helped point out the differences. What if this was Ikwerre and Etche saying they want to reunite with their kins of Ohaji, Ngor and Owerri? It would have gotten to 100 pages of different definitions of language and ethnicity.
But you are part of the group that always remind the igbos that ikwerre and others are not igbo.

Does this theory also apply to Igbos in Delta State who deny their heritage?

The Ukwuanis? Yes as they are the only part of Anioma with substantial crude oil deposit. I have heard some of them make this point obvious. And they equally have this false sense of royal splendour, courtsey of Bini connection.

The Aniocha/Oshimili are proud Igbos.

The Igbodos and Ekwuoma in Ika are proud Igbos, but for the rest of Ika, it's really hard to decipher what really is wrong with them, but i think it's the false sense of royal splendour, courtsey of the way Europeans exalted Bini, and the Agbors/Owas attachment to Bini, that is the driving force of the Igbo identity crisis in Owa/Agbor area, the Biafran war made it easier for them, as the Igbo nation in post war Nigeria lost all her immediate colonial and post Nigerian indepedence splendour, they simply saw no gain in identifying with the Igbo nation, not when she had become the laughing stock and punching bag of the West-North gang up, they were simply abandoning a sinking boat.

Then again, the Igbos in the mid west, never shared the same region with the rest of Ndiigbo in the East, unlike the rest of the Igbo speaking people south of Egbema and Ndoki/Asa lands.

Stop talking trash. There is no where in that thread where the Igalas were complaining of being marginalized via distrubution of infrastructures and development.

They only complained of the lack of promotion of the Igala language, which many Igbo posters there pointed out was because of the bi ethnic and bilingual nature of the towns,Igallas are found in,in Anambra state.

You would do well to stop misleading people.

On the case of the Igbo communities in Benue. Like some one once pointed out the first time this article hit NL front page, i am sure that if those communities were in Rivers state, and were oil rich, they wouldn't be fighting hard to reconnect to the rest of the Igbo nation in the SE,they would have formed a new ethnic group by now,and Bini migration histories would be made up to support it, while they label the rest of us in SE as land grabbers and parasites, should we dare to try to reconnect to them.

But now, they have nothing, and so,are not blinded by greed, they can clearly see how good and pleasant it would be, for Brothers( Ndiigbo) to dwell together( in the same region) in unity.

Even if Ebonyi is not oil rich, and wont have much to offer them, but being a part of Ebonyi, would give them a sense of belonging. Ohaneze and other Igbo pressure groups should look into their plight, in the spirit of " Onye aghana nwanne ya".
You are a man of truth and equity going by your post. Many times, i weep in spirit for the so called Ikwerre ethnic nationality who presently tow the path of ignominy. I know one day they shall need we larger Igbos and then realise that nwata bulie nna ya elu, ngwongwo na ngwongwo ga-ewuchie ya anya.

Yes, 2face is from Okpokwu LGA of Benue state, but he isn't from the Izaa/Ezzi speaking communities in Okpokwu LGA, he is an Idoma, and the Idomas remain the majority in Okpokwu LGA.

The problem with the Igbos indigenous to Benue state,is that they are spread over different LGAs in the the state, and they are all minorities to the Idomas,in all those LGAs. Their case would have been better, had it been they were given an LGA of their own, free from the Idomas.
