-there is no bribing in the University.

-no short cut to pass.

-there is very low room or zero tolerance for examination malpractices.

-NYSC very sure.

-there is no room for laziness.

-no time to waste.

-no strike to waste our precious life.

-relatively cheap.

-Access to all Federal/ State and cooperate body scholarship

sir,the correlation is the fact that man ability to acquire knowledge is limitless if he so desire.....if a man that could sit down and do nothing and still be enjoying is going this far,it shows that he deserve what he got from life, being a former president, can't you his doggedness in whatever he does?

1- There is nothing like class attendance in NOUN.
2- Examinations are done at the exam venues with computers for 100 level-200 level courses, while 300 level and above write their exams on paper known as POP. Law courses from 100 level are pop too.
3- Assignments are done online.
4- No handouts.
5- Your success depends mostly on you, it is meant for students who can study and read on their own. No lectures, but students can organize tutorials.
6- No strikes.

No 4 is not true, I know a lot of their students, they don't have lecturers so what they buy is only handouts. They don't go to class. NOUN was meant for elderly people that didn't go to Uni and are working class but now most of their students are young boys and girls that are afraid to write Jamb and go to standard school

I wish the good prospects that the NOUN stands to provide can be allowed to b fulfilled by their staff. Some staff especially d very influential senior staff would not b able to be computer proficient and are administratively slacking.
Imagine where a student finished PGD exams since last year September 2013 & submitted project topics for approval; it took a year to get approval & they are expecting magic to complete the project b4 December to enable one graduate by January 2015.
OWERRI study centre has faulty admin & after haven bn visiting d centre to find out, they av d guts to blame one with a flimsy excuse.
this concludes that in general, education in Nigeria is still filled with sadist & progress-inhibitors.

Well as it stands, it depends on what course you intend studying....the courses determine if you'll be offering mostly 2unit or 3unit courses.
Basically, for 2unit courses, it's N2000, while 3unit courses are registered with N2500 so if you'll be registering 10 2unit courses, then that's 20k plus exam registeration which bearing all anomalies stands @ N1000 be it 2,3, or 4 units...
Doing the math now, Exam reg plus Coursereg plus Compulsory fee=N60,000...

I guess the person that gave you that advise doesn't like you because UI ODL is time waster. My bro as been there since 2009 and as neva graduated(note: he doesn't av any prob dia), sometimes they will spend up to a year before they resume for another session.
I collected their DE form this year and I was given admission but I have made up my mind to let go because it seems to be a ridiculous journey to me cum their outrageous tuition( which is now 159).
I will advise you to put in for NOUN.
Go for UI ODL at your own risk.
chaiii mogbe', the issue is that i have already been admitted into ODL UI and Paid the fees.
There is nothing i can do to retract from the programme.
I just Pray and hope they will modify their lapses.
How I wished I saw this orientation before taking steps.
