Forgot to add that, every country worth her salts have organisations that protects the rights of women, they just go by a different name. They even have special shelters for abused women & SA is no different. Abuse doesn't happen just because a woman is mouthy & disrespectful. It happens because there are men who still view women as lesser beings or as personal possessions. Unfortunate women get beheaded or get stoned to death in countries like Saudi Arabia just for showing an ankle. If that's not dehumanising & abusive, then I don't know what else to call it.
