In a dramatic move to secure the loyalty of its presidential aspirants after the primaries scheduled for 10th December, all the aspirants vying for the office of the president on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been compelled to sign a binding agreement with the leadership of the party not to decamp from APC if they failed to secure the party's ticket during the primaries. Also, by the agreement, the four aspirants have accepted to abide by the rules and regulations of the party as it affects the conduct of the presidential primaries. The extraction of the written agreement from aspirants came just as the party said it would go ahead to hold the December 10 presidential convention/primaries in Lagos despite protest registered by three aspirants, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Kano Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha. Insecurity. Why do they take oath? Or they are already seeing themselves as losers and dont want their members to leave when that happens. |
