Sister, this cannot be a lie. Okay, very unlikely to be a lie.

Like 10 different independent people have confirmed similar occurrence on this same thread.

If the bank workers knew, what do we say of the guy whose elder brother was carrying 58k for school fees, not from a bank, but from the house. What do we say of about 3 people that have also confirmed cases of their laptops turning into objects, same scenarios? These guys posted independently. Could all of them be lying too?

These things happen. I believe that's some jazz (Babalawo aided by jinns).

I think it is ignorance coupled with Nollywood dumbed down movies that has virtually everyone attaching 'Babalawo' to negativity and bad magic.

Not everyone who has knowledge of charm is a Babalawo nor is it every Babalawo who has the knowledge of charm.

It simply denotes person who is in an awo, an intiate/devotee to a deity/god.

People forget Onisegun are actually the core and embodiment of Yoruba traditional charms & rituals no how, not Babalawo which simply means member of an Awo.

Plus Alfas and also Pastors of (Cele, C&S etc) perform magics and do their religious culture based charms of evil or good nature of whatever magnitude as well.

@topic, what a story! If they'd just stolen the money, I'd understand but with this addition of A4 paper? I don't buy it. Moreover, why would you carry such sum on you? You be ATM? Are we not supposed to be in a cashless economy?

Oga, i dnt blame your doubtedness cos such have not happened to you before. This guys uses charm to manipulate the victims. I was once a victim of these hoodlums. I boarded the taxi from Oyibo to Garrisson to love-vendor my barley-a-month brand new laptop. I was carrying the laptop inside the laptop bag. Two guys and a lady was sitting at the back of the car, while a guy was sitting at the front of the car, with me sitting at the extreme door with the guy in front, keeping my laptop bag on my laps. After covering a short distance from where I entered, the driver instructed me to close the door very well. On the process of trying to open and close the door, the guy beside me started shouting beyond control that his finger got stucked in the door lock. Immediately, the driver stopped. The guy was still shouting on top of his voice, on the process, i opened the car door in order to free his finger and by then i had already came down with my bag. To my greatest surprise, the guy closed the door and they zoomed off. with nothing in mind, i had to enter another car, still feeling the normal weight and size of my laptop in my laptop bag. On getting to Garrisson at the shop i was to love-vendor the laptop. I opened my laptop bag, lo and behold a rectangular interlock stone inside my laptop bag. Oh my God! it was was like hell that day. i was forcing myself to wake up, thinking i was dreaming. I nearly ran mad that day. So you better believe op story.

He was going to receive over N400k and he doesn't have an active bank account? In this century? Strange. Anyway, next time you meet such a customer, let him follow you to the bank or meet you there. Withdraw the money and pay him in the banking hall and move on. At Any point in time you shouldn't be carrying that much sum around.

If jazz/jins are truly used in this instance, can you answer the following:

1. Why require the guy to close the door?
Answer - to preoccupy his mind with a different task because he cannot close the door and watch his bag EXACTLY at the same time. If all that was required for jins to act is just close proximity, then the jins should have just switched the money when the guy got into the car. Abi jins no be ghost?

2. Why do occupants of the car reach across his lap to help him close the door?
Answer - so that while one was closing the door and leaning on the guy, the 2nd passenger can perform the switch.

3. Why replace the money with something else?
Answer - so that the guy will continue to think the money is intact because the bag is not empty and has about the same weight to it. If the bag was simply empty, the guy would have raised alarm before the scam artist could get away.

If they'd just stolen the money, he would have noticed the change in weight of the sack round his neck. The way they did it, he got out of the car without suspecting anything, making the scam go more smoothly.

So, let's get this straight.

Some scammers were waiting outside your bank for some mugu to exit.

You got into a taxi cab that you hadn't hailed, yourself, with N465,000 -- they hailed you? shocked

ehen...and then the door wouldn't shut, and eventually they started leaning across you, and the only thing you were afraid of was juju, because your bag was "zipped".

Am I right so far?

Looks like they swapped the bag, itself -- one full of notes for one full of paper. And the guy in the bank who got you the bag of money, hmmmm....probably in cahoots with the gang.

dont waite to experience it, before you believe. It happens all the time, in some cases the cash is replaced with funny items and for some the cash just vanishes. My advice is for everyone to be very alert and take proactive measures when you smell fraud. God help us.

Well, I don't think 3 different people from different parts of the country, who don't know one another, will lie against themselves.

At least 2 of them have even posted pictures of the objects the money turned into. These can't be a coincidence.

This is a first hand account. He didn't know the op. This doesn't look made up. At least 3 other people have confirmed first hand experience, not hearsay.
