I could not independently verified who will or have gotten the printing contract, but base on the trend in Lagos and the secretive style of ruling the project would be hyper inflated.

You are wrong. This is the most important thing because it determines what you do, where to spend and what to spend on.


ID system makes it easy to determine how many people to budget and plan for, how many schools to build, how many hospitals you need, how many clinics and health centers, what infrastructures you need, where to site the infrastructures and how often you maintain the infrastructures, determine the number of teachers you need.

Not having accurate data and demographics for proper planing shortchanges you, you either waste money in one area or shortchange and deny other areas because you don't have data, it's like walking blind folded in the dark.

What other nations do to facilitate development and adequately plan for their citizens shouldn't be a bad thing when it comes to your own people.

You people's level of thinking, dark and backward mentality spells doom for your people and unborn generation...

Seems you're not well informed. Residents of various states here in the USA have their own Id cards. Seek knowledge!

Seriously, this is a wonderful innovation. This guy is a planner. Foolish tanoids will not see the good in this. I kn the database will be backed up in secure servers. How best to plan a state. Pulling up data of every resident easily at will when needed. If our useless FG had a functional national identity card scheme, fashola wouldn't have spent money doing the work of the FG for them. Ride on the peoples' governor. With this, let me see how they will come up with figures that kano is more populated than lagos.

Lagos is the New York of Nigeria, have you traveled out of Nigeria before? In The States, you must either have a State ID like this one in Lagos or a State Drivers Licence in places like New York. While in Texas you can have both, why are you guys just lazy to research but rather would result to insulting elects officials and a person like Fashola that the whole world is really impressed with his handling of Lagos State affairs?
