Get a nice Nigerian side-chic, locate a proper African shop and a bunch of Nigerian friends, I promise half of that list's contents won't apply to you. Its about adaptability. What I miss most though, is the warm predictable weather. |

I miss crossing the road to buy bole and fish, Kilishi, Suya, point-and-kill goat in owerri and Benin, local markets, dragging change with taxi drivers, attending those Owambe, live bands, I miss crashing weddings for free jollof rice, wearing traditional attires without being stared at or interrogated. I make up for my losses whenever I go to naija and I do that often. 2 Likes |

Whoever put this post up has apparently never being to London the United Kingdom. Everything you just listed you find there, and then some you don't even find in in Nigeria. About 12 years ago i remember there was Nigerian Herbalist Shop in Peckham, London. Near one popular Naija Buka run by an Alhaja, dont know if its still there. On a Visit to Greece some years ago met some Nigerians selling bootleg(pirated dvd) in a market, abi na Maryland for yankee you wan talk wey be like Oshodi Oke? or Dallas Texas wey be like Mapo Hall for Ibadan with Owambe party every weekend? Truth is Nigerian's convert anywhere they stay to Nigeria like the South East part of London that makes Victoria Island look like LaS vegas. |

Seriously missing walking to any street medicine store a.k.a chemist store/shop to buy any medication I need. this part of the world, no doctors prescription no serious medicine for u ooo- u must go hospital oooo then get examined by a doctor then get a prescription before u can buy any serious medicine after showing ur prescription from a doctor! No be small thing. |

All my friends abroad always sing the praises about where they are ,wishing they never come back to nigeria,I have a cousin whom Whenever I ping with him will always cry how he miss nigeria Always give me list about things he miss, what top the list for him is the lack of "approaching any girl you see" like it is done in nigeria or else you get arrested for sexual harassment He says everyone living abroad who said he/she has nothing he miss about nigeria is a big liar I don't know how true it is cause I have friends living abroad as well who wishes they never come back, could they be lying? 6 Likes |
