Who do you think sent Proust to Indonesia to clean up the Total outfit there and why do you think he sent her to Nigeria after she was done with indonesia?

She has already shown she isn't a pushover once and will not buckle under this pressure either.

This is very laughable, what concerns the DSS with fuel scarcity, PENGASSAN strike or TOTAL internal matters? For God sake the DSS is supposed to act as intel for other Agencies(Police and Military) to burst crimes and protect Nigerians. When did they become NLC, PPPRA, NNPC or Ministry of Labour to comment on who is holding Nigeria oil and gas workers to ransome and who is not? These people don't just know the difference between State's Intelligence Agency and Dispute and Resolution Center.

No worry.. Proust held due consultations before firing that woman. All this one wey them dey do na initial gra gra.

its like the CIA commenting on gas scarcity, how did we get here? Even the intelligence office has become unnecessarily politicized and partisan, how then do we intend to conquer Book Haram. #jonamustgo #blamegamemuststop

I believe Labour matters should concern the Organisation and Labour Union. If TOTAL decide to fire her after following due process, she remains fired. If she isn't satisfied then she should go to the National Industrial Court and not manipulating PENGASSAN. But what is the business of DSS in all these?

My brother after taking over the function of the PDP media office, Ogar and her #Team have gone another low by assuming the role of conflict and dispute interventionist in the oil and gas sector

Majority of Nigerians don't really understand the function and roles of DSS. I think we shld be grateful that someone is coming to tell us what's behind the current scarcity instead of throwing flaks at Ogar.
For records, be informed that it's part of the statutory roles of DSS to resolve labour crisis before it develops to what we are presently experiencing.

Reading through comments here ,wole soyinka was absolutely right when he said that a state of emergency should be imposed on nigeria educational sector. Really sad to see the products of nigeria educational system churning out rubbish with pride and glee. Ogar further disclosed that the matter was
brought to the DSS office by PENGASSAN officials
in November, following which the Service
summoned TOTAL’s managing director Elizabeth
Proust, saying the oil giant’s recalcitrance
triggered the industrial action.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this.
I really wonder what a spokeswoman for the SSS is doing in matters like this.
I'm not surprised though; everyone in in elevated office(s) in abuja wants to be heard.
And once you've heard them, they'd go political and join one party.
Its all ambition.
Marylyn Ogar, we don hear you.
Buhari won't make you a minister next year.
He abhors corruption and incompetence which GEJ swims in.

The question we should be asking is if this dispute is part of the functions of the DSS. Whether the matter was brought to the DSS office or not isn't important here. Should they be meddling in trade disputes?

This is what u get wen cluelessness pervades d whole nation. This is an issue strictly btw total and pengassan. DSS has absolutely no biz in dis matter.Leaving sentiments aside, total also has d right to transfer employees.
This is d oda reason y its pertinent dt gej leaves dt post. There is so much impunity, cluelessness and abuse of all decent norms that even if buhari won't solve all d problems, but a change in d way all agencies of govt act and behave wud engender change in many other aspects of Nigeria

It is so sadden that people are commenting in this manner. first and foremost ponder on the meaning of security.again did some of you even knows the role and responsibilities of DSS...and their job description?...stop crucifying the department......if i were the president i will wrote to TOTAL headquarters to pull that so called Elizabeth (p)froust off this country for breach of union terms they initially agreed and causing security unrest in the nation....it is only in naija that this nonsense is happening ....firing people any how ,reviewing contracts won by contractors years back and threaten them to call-in other contractor who are on the line should in case they reject the revised bid.what a shame and NAPIMS are here getting their kick back from TOTAL strong woman.....TOTAL can not hold us to ransom....there are laid down conditions for union to thrive and they knew it....she want to prove she is better than her predecessor by sacking Nigerians and bringing in french and cheap labours from India,Thailand. Indonesia etc.she knows that if the union leader is off from PH base she will be able to manipulate workers and sack them at will and will also stop the yearly reviews every January that woman is a crook....the french have nothing to offer naija.....only to milk us dry.....she must reinstate that man else she will locate air France as her alternative route

That's it. So one can't make a comment regarding Natl matters again without being labelled a supporter of a political party. Really smh. Still doesn't answer my question, is it part of the DSS responsibilities to wade into trade crisis, irrespective of whether someone brought it to their notice or not? Seems DSS has plenty time on their hands.
