This is what I term "bad player management". How on earth do we know a player is up to standard if he ain't playing?

This. same Montoya dey bench Carvajal for U21 since, until this year. Now imagine, we no fit even put the two of them for the same sentence again. Someone should tell me Carvajal would be playing at a high level if he didn't get the chance.

We also forget that Montoya has played some vital matches in the past where he showed what he was made of. I can remember vividly one of the Clasico that Tito (RIP) replaced Alves with Montoya, and in that match and even to the second leg (Guess the super cup) Ronaldo had a bad day (s).

If a coach says he doesn't believe in a player (like Lucho said about Montoya), it's okay. He sees everyone in training, and so, he knows who is who. But to tell me that Montoya is the fourth choice for the RB position, is pure HATE. There is no how I would believe otherwise. How would you explain this: that Douglas is ahead of Montoya in the pecking order? This is highly lugubrious, startling and preposterous. Well, what else would I expect from a coach who thinks Munir is the next Messi, and is slowly making him the next Bojan (lol). A coach who thinks Munir is better than Sandro? And yet we expect him not to choose Douglas over Montoya?

Well, make we dey see wetin wan happen. I don't even have my mind fixed towards having the transfer ban reduced, because I know it would be hard kinda. Anywayz, I just hope we ain't shooting ourselves on the foot with Montoya's potential departure. Yes, he might not be the best, but then he is better of than Alves at the moment. Besides, who improves his game on the stands? You improve when you play matches, and not while you are sitted at the stand because your name is never on the team list.

With this statement, you have confirmed the argument that much of messi's success can be attributed to xavi and iniesta.Meanwhile ronaldo has played with kaka, alonso, ozil,di maria and now james, bale, modric, kroos(not forgetting those he was with at united).Yet he has been able to adapt to all.

Lmao! When I say service, I mean a functional team, and a world class coach who knows what he is doing!
If Cr7 is in this kind of barca team now, he'll surely go into oblivion! Because apart from scoring goals, he doesn't add any other quality to the team!
All the names you called, are they not also world class playmakers?

#Word!
Before it was Arbeloa that was holding that position, but after some disgraceful performances,( especially during confederations cup where Neymar physically sodomized him grin ) he was dropped and they tried Carvajal, and now he is the toast of everybody!
But in our Oga Alves case, it is different! he is bad in almost all games, but yet he is still 1st choice!
Montoya's departure will surely hurt us, except if Enrique is planing to use his 3 defenders formation!

Rafinha got most promising talent in la liga for last season, that means he is obviously good!
With some good number of games and with what I saw yesterday, he'll surely become hot cake across Europe!
Forget that it was against a small team, he was still a pleasure to watch!

See as almost everyone here is insulting the coach like una even fit manage a club successfully on FIFA.

How many of una wey dey insult the coach anyhow fit tweak a fifa 15 club to win the league?

If there is a way to find out una coaching acumen via fifa 15, i would have thrown a challenge to you all make una just carry the same Barcelona for fifa 15, tweak the team accordingly with the current squad we have and then win the league playing "legendary". once you fit boast of this, you should post the tactics and tweaking you used in achieving this.

Una don too insult this coach, he knows what the heck he's doing, the management team are not all silly to have brought him on, the man is trying to calve out new strategies for us, he's the one in the dressing room, on the training pitch and in the management room, he knows MORE about the players, officials and the fan's feelings than 99% of all you critics here. make una allow the man work for heck sake.

Nothing he does that you guys won't criticize, you want something different, he's trying out different things, yet una dey complain...

This thread is getting so predictable nowadays, most of the comments i read here have nothing but whinning, crying, cursing and murmuring all day.

Let this man work!

Do you know that Alves has given Messi more assists than both of Xavi and Iniesta combined?
Truth is,Messi makes them both better...

It is not about who provides the final assist, but those who makes the decisive key pass.I tell you that if xavi and iniesta were still at their peaks, then there would be no need for messi to drop deep to provide those key passes.

I usually judge the kind of fan/person he poster is based on their comments, most of them are not even consistent, today they are for, tomorrow they are against, next week, they're on the fence. it sucks..

He used 3:4:3 against PSG and we saw how the team performed, yet some people were on his neck raining curses on him for trying to give us options.

you reason like a kid,,,.... why will messi have to leave barcelona to prove himself.. the games xavi and iniesta didn't play,he still scored.. or is it xavi that has lost form or iniesta that's still struggling to get back on his feet?...is messi still not scoring..

or did Pele have to play in multiple clubs to be the world's greatest?
