I use windows 8 as well but have never experienced such a thing. Its probably the modern u re using.

Best way forward. If you do not have the software or skills, best to delegate.

Most of the poblems listed above are caused mostly by

Divers installed on d PC not matching the OS - Update your drivers.

Vius, worms, etc - Look for a better antivius and scan your system.

Crappy hardware - upgrade

Or u are jus someone who is scared of new things.

Even though I most of the time I use Ubuntu, Win8 & 8.1 are really cool

Oh please... Windows 8 is better than 7. Just that the user interface is a deviation from the regular, and thus needs some adjusting to by those used to previous versions.

I think your hardware is the culprit. You can upgrade your hardware or downgrade your os to Windows 7. No use dwelling on regrets.

2nd....Mouse cursor hanging...I dont know wat causes it buh d cursor just stays *pako*.
3rd....Irregular hotness of Tha System which will cook life chicken
4th.....Oversabi of programs ...and at the end na network hanging
5th....Itz just lyk may i naq am for wall...

About the hangin b sure mayb d ram of ur computer is not less than 1gb and scan for virus, d hottness happens to systems with amd motherboard if yes wen nxt u want to buy system buy 1 with intel...but others

I don't think they even build windows 8 laptops with less than 1gb of ram. I think 1gb is the minimum but we all know 1gb of ram is not even enough for smart phones these days not to talk of a full computer. If u have less than 3gb u are on ur own.

Windows 8 can run pretty well on 1gb of RAM, it's that efficient. The way it was written is pretty impressive. Take a look at the HP stream 7 as an example of an impressive Windows device with 1gb of RAM

Not the least bit true, windows 8.1 boots up far faster than windows 7, and the entire Windows 8.1 OS is just more responsive. Check your system for Malware. I think I made a thread on this about 15 ways Windows 8.x is far superior.

The file system is totally different - GPT rather than the usual MBR. So, it's impossible for you to use any other windows os to remove it. Ms is launching windows 10 any moment from now, that's an evidence of how hopeless win 8 is.

Got my Acer with Window 8.1 4GB Ram, 500HDD, 15.6'' Core i5 without any complain whatsoever... Check your configuration, if its lower downgrade your OS, Window 8 requires more space and good config... for me its better than window 7 or whatever OS on Mr Bill Gate devices.lol

First and foremost you can continue with the false pretense that Windows 10 is coming out in January, it is not. Microsoft is presenting their progress on the upcoming OS (a meeting that I will be attending). CES 2015 is coming up.

If windows 8.1 is seriously giving peeps brain farts, then those people shouldn't be using a computer in the first place. But since Microsoft like a good business has to cater to the general populice who in general are computer illiterate, we shall see Windows 10 sometime mid next year

There are no Wi-Fi issues with Windows 8, that sounds like an issue with your device or driver. I have 3 windows devices all with different Wi-Fi radios. Not one of them have ever had a Wi-Fi problem.

You do realize that on windows 8.1 you can right click the start button and select shut down from there, or alternatively hover your mouse over the right hand side of the screen.

People don't like change. Most humans are not willing to adapt to new things, which is sad even if the new thing is exponentially better.

Windows 8 is slower to connect with a wifi connection than windows 7. This became worse with the initial 8.1 update. Even now, I have two windows 7 laptops (my old laptop and my brothers) which can connect at a longer range than windows 8.1 laptops. These are all toshiba and hp laptops of the same price range.

just google "windows 8/8.1 wifi problems".....many forums have concluded that there is no easy answer to the issue because it is not only a hardware issue.



Also, one of the rules of business and customer service is to never change what is not broken, especially with something worse.


in windows 7, to shutdown all i need to do is to click on the start button hover to shut down menu and click "shut down". 3 STEPS, 2 CLICKS


in windows 8, to shut down, I would have to swipe to the right (which works irrationally on all windows 8/8.1 pcs), then if the menu comes up, I click on the "settings" icon, click on the "off" icon and then click "shut down". 4 STEPS, 3 CLICKS AND 1 SWIPE.



Or, I could just press or click the start button and search for "shutdown". A huge waste of precious seconds.



Windows 8 is a crappy version of windows 7 with a new interface
