I can imagine if this was the other way round. When it has to do with a man, we try to cushion the fall and blame it on our women. When it has to do with our women, we remove the cushion let them hit the ground hard and blane them for their downfall. I remember some men cursing our ladies for daring to add weight after getting married and giving birth. Even some crazy women who are fortunate to have time, money, people who encourage them and just lucky have the knowledge to be able to work on themselves came out and cursed out their less priviledged sisters(As women are quick to bring down a fellow woman faster than a bullet straight to the brain) O diegwu, now women are to blame for men being fat. Isholrite o. Let me go blame mine. I dey come. 1 Like |

ernecy:When I got married it was complaining here and there for a long time that she can't see the impact of the food she was giving me. I responded that I am like CBN, my job is to take everything and keep them hidden . Of recent, my tummy has a little bulge and the song has changed. Now the cry is for me to follow her to the gym. |

Aringon: Oga mi, the key to a lean stomach is diet. Very little is achieved in gym when it comes to stubborn belly fat. What you need to do is cut down on sugar and carbohydrates. Rather than eat eba and vegetable soup, eat just vegetable soup with a tenth of the eba you would normally eat. Cut out bread, pasta, rice, potato, food rich in starch (you can eat yam and sweet potato though) and sugary snacks for like 2months if you can. Eat as much protein as you can and try to exercise at least 3x a week, does not matter what you do, just be consistent. Eat less fruit too because they are loaded in sugar even if naturally occurring sugar, instead eat more vegetables and snack on nuts. Cut out processed foods completely. Losing belly fat requires a lifestyle change, if you do all these for six months and return to your bad habits, your belle will grow back. I wish you a ripping tummy |

Aringon: Your diet is 50% of it. To have a flat and strong core/tummy, your body needs to use up the belly fat by burning it. So, you need to exercise too. You need to start sprinting. Have you ever seen a 100meter runner on the race track with protruded belly? No. Their abs are always cut. Keep your diet as it is now (and cut down fats, excessive carbs and processed foods), and incorporate sprinting at least 3 times a week. In each session, do at least six 100m dashes. Rest by walking around for 30 seconds between each 100m dashes. You may be really slow at first, but as time goes on, you'll improve. To increase the level of difficulty and for better results, sprint uphill instead of a flat surface race track. Sprinting works your leg muscles (glutes, hamstrings and quads) and your abdominal muscles. And most importantly, it burns calories in those areas like crazy, even hours after you've finished sprinting. Also, include exercises like squats (with weights) and deadlifts (with weights), planks and push ups. Those compound exercises burn calories more than sit-ups and crunches. Do the exercises on the days you're not sprinting. Belly fat are quite hard to eliminate, so put in the work!!! 1 Like |

I don't really know, most men drink like fish and eat excessive junks foods mostly when they are bachelors yet they still look cute and trim. But you realise that when they get married they begin to add some fats around their waist, the arms become less tough and the chins begins to get flabby, you may say that could be caused by lack of excercise but some men do excercise frequently even after marriage yet the get those pot bellies. You can't put it down on sex either.,that's ridiculous. May be it could be a change peculiar to african men alone when they marry...just saying. Not all of them tho. |

Dotng: Eat beans, eat yam, eat moinmoin, eat vegetable/okro soups, in short eat lots of protein. The fact that you eat once a day is even bad for losing any kind of weight, your body gets confused and is in starvation mode half the time. 1 Like |

Dotng: Eating healthy doesn't mean eating boring leaves and fruits. Please keep your carbs. You need foods like rice, pasta, potatoes for your body and brain to function. You just need to be careful of how much you're eating (portion control). Don't eat till your eyes are bulging. You also need to make healthier choices. So instead of white bread and white rice, chose brown rice and brown bread (more nutrients, less calories). Eat little by little throughout the day. Eating one gigantic meal at the end of the day is not healthy. Fücks up your metabolism. Ruins your ability to digest food. If you're going to eat eba or fufu at all, make sure the size of the meat (protein) is the same as the size of the eba, or even bigger than the eba. Eat your fruits and vegetable daily. Don't let vegetables scare you, most Nigerian soups are vegetables anyways. The only problem is the oil and salt content in the soups. So, little or no oil is good for you; minimal salt and Maggi is also good. --Avoid fried foods (puff puff etc). --Avoid processed foods (candy, cookies, chocolate, choco-milo, gala etc). Instead, eat a banana or an avocado. --Avoid carbonated drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic ) and "juice". Drink water. Just water. At first, the "rules" may seem overwelmhing, but with consistency it becomes a lifestyle, and you'll thank yourself for it years down the line. 1 Like |
