Undiano Mellanco is always a clown! He's always trying to show he's a no nonsense ref, yet he makes a mountain load of errors. No wonder he's rarely invited to ref UCL again. For the record, Spanish refs are all jackass! They can't boast of a single ref in the calibre of Howard Webb or the Italian Rizzolli.

You miss road? Okay let's say you are right... That would mean at least 3 Athletico players would have gotten their matching orders too. Godin on Alves, Garcia on Neymar and Giménez on Neymar. Coentrao did similar thing to what Giménez did and he got his matching order. But Undiano f**king Mallenco was not unconcerned about the tackle.

I tired for ppl. this award is for ur individual performance in a calender year not ur team performance. Last year Ribery was on top 3, was he d best player dat year in bayern. Idoubt it, Robben and neuer was awesome too.

Whether or not you play a full match, playing a top club like Real Madrid and winning is very energy sapping. What more; Atletico won with just 25% of possession so they spent the whole night on their toes defending. That was enough to sap the entire team.

You cannot deny Atletico did not bring their A game. As a matter of fact, the scoreline did not tell the story. The match should have been officially over in the first half with Barca leading by at least 4-0 if Barca was not so profligate. I think they could have done more if they were well rested. Though I must say it seemed Messi (and the entire Barca team) were probably more motivated to revenge for the last day of last season.
