For goodness sakes! What is wrong with Nigerians? How do you benefit and how does the country benefit just because a person from your own tribe is the president? Shouldn't competence be more important? I don't understand this kind of primitive thinking. How can the country move forward when so many people think like this?

The South-South and South-East have struggled for decades to get a taste of power. Now providence has given it to the Ijaws.

But some Eastern and S/S people want to give it back to the North. They say GEJ is clueless. A few say they don't care where the president comes from, only merit and performance are important.

These high minded people pride themselves on being fair and positive. But the truth is that they are ignorant people who refuse to deal with the Nigerian reality. They hope that if the are fair to a mad man, he will become reasonable.
The other reason, which most won't admit is that they are terrified. They say 'if power is so important to them that they will kill for it, give it to them.' They fear what the BH will do if GMB loses. They are too soft and comfortable to fight to stand for anything that does not touch their stomachs.

Someone says GEJ is not performing. I say ' if he isn't, then give it to another who is or will.' No they want to give it to a general who was so weak, he could not muster the respect of his men and routinely blames subordinates for misdeeds that happen under him, ala PTF. If that is not irresponsibility, I must be a penguin.

It gets worse, the general is suffering from dimentia and can't articulate himself -no, not hearsay, I listened to him. It gets even worse, the general is under the thumb of the biggest thief in the history of Nigeria. If Tinubu can steal as much as he has as an opposition leader, what will he do when he is the ruling party?

These people are only making noise because they think the president can be intimidated. It is a testimony to our damaged psyche that we call tyrants strong and accommodating leaders weak. We are so used to being brutalized, that we disrespect those who respect us.

Not surprising though. It is the way of those who have been victims and slaves for a long time. They stop believing that they are worthy humans capable of power. But begin to settle for basic animal needs; food, shelter and sex. That was the problem of the Israelites with Moses; he treated them as free men not slaves, so they thought they could harass him. The mice of Egypt become lions in the wilderness.

I have even heard some say, 'when so and so was there we had plenty food, it was "chop, I chop".' Just like some people in the Bible told Moses, 'when we were in Egypt, we we eating to satisfaction.' So, naturally, they seek a leader to take them back to Egypt. What a shame! If only they had the decency to admit why they want GMB over GEJ, I would respect them more.

So, all of you, come February, feel free to cast your votes to return your Northern masters to power. And afterwards blame everybody but yourselves for whatever whatever happens to you and your children. I like the Northerners; they are both honest and realistic. They want power, land and oil. So all you miseducated Christians and indolent southerners from Igbo land, help them get what they want.
Na una way!!!!

Share, if you agree!
Don't worry bro, you can get 100% some northers will also vote for GEJ those who says otherwise are not telling themselfs the truth
Nigeria politics is all about interests.

Same old tactics of using tribalism to win votes. I earlier thought Jonathan would improve but the use of Boko Haram and religious antagonism by his aides like Olisa Metu and Fani Kayode made me see the bigger picture. His continued stay in power will remain full of bloodshed and corruption.

if they think so, must u always behave like them. Jst name how many notherners came into power via popular vote? Or are trying to use coup to justify their penchant for power? Aguiyi Ironsi came via coup , too. If ibo no like power, why did ojukwu instigated war?

What's the truth? Do you think I care if Jonathan is Igbo or a Christian? When was the last time he even entered a church before joining politics? I care about competence. My children's future shouldn't be stolen.

One in a million
During the war (Nigeria civil war) some Igbos where among Nigeria soldiers same with Biafra, some Nigeria was recruited under Biafran soldiers, in politics it's a different ball game, Nigeria politics its all about individual and collective interests, the same way Amaechi, Adams, Rochas are fighting for political relevance and individual inerests in APC, the same Yaro, Darkingari,Dankwambo etc are fighting for their own in PDP, I'm not expecting 100% compliance from Igbos 2% is insignificant, just bear it in mind that both parties will rig, the highest rigger will win the election and PDP Control 22 states plus FCT and APGA, You saw how ACN rigged Obanikoro's son out from Eti-osa lga Lagos state, politics is not played online or through propaganda . We will count the miles after the race.

Thank God SS and SE votes alone won't be enough to return GEJ as President, if not our own for don finish for dis contry.
Re: . by size38: 11:18am On Jan 20, 2015
Does the writer realised how useless GEJ's govt is to us from the south-south? Of what use is a father's riches if the children cannot benefit from it? This is d situation of GEJ's govt. to the people of south-south. Also, does the writer think that votes from the south-south and south- East alone can make GEj win election? When GEJ, his wife, Edwin clark, Asari Dokubo and many others in his region were making all kinds of hate statements against other tribes in Nigeria, we warned them but they never listened. Make frnds for GEJ and not enemies.

Ol ' boy, can you imagine tribe and religion as issues in Nigerian politics? I taya. The truth is ,at the state level, such people will practice same. They are closed to reason. I am glad I am from a progressive family. We are married and domiciled across Nigeria.

OP CALM DOWN! No cause for alarm!!

The people you are talking about in SE\SS are in the tiny minority, they will not even secure 5% votes for Buhari.

SE\SS will give BLOCK votes to GEJ.

Mallam Rochas who is from the lineage of Usman Dan Fodio AND Rotimi Amaechi the Driver General of Buhari Campaign Organisation can not do anything about it.

The opinions of Apc paid E-touts here shouting that they are from SE\SS are not taken seriously.

Op chill I'm typing from the east no cause for alarm!!
