A coursemate ws caught by the Dean not wearing his ID card tag. The woman alwys called the security tto take dem bt afta much begging (God touched her heart), she asked him tto write "I wl alwys put on mai school ID" in higher edu note

The last time I saw something like this was in primary school. At least the pupil had the opportunity to perfect their handwriting. I wonder what d lecturer wanted this student to achieve in this case. In Idris' voice, Mr lecturer !

I've witnessed similar punishment but it was inside a 80 leaves higher notebook instead of 2A........
Despite how simple it looks, it could be very very frustrating

I do not see anything wrong in what the lecturer did if it was really because of being late. I am sure the student will appreciate that later if (s)he would learn.

it must be very frustrating.
what sort of a lecturer does that?? naija and their mentality sha.

a better punishment would have been to instruct the offender to read a whole textbook and answer questions on it or explain.(at least he/she would have gained something).

i'll classify this as wastage of time and resources.
wastage of paper and wastage of ink.

I had a similar experience, mine was for noise making. I was asked to write: SILENCE IS GOLDEN, I WILL NEVER MAKE NOISE IN THE CLASS AGAIN.

I once had an encounter with Prof. Fabayo after the Nov. 3, 2004 Laketu saga and students were compelled to wear their ID card every where on campus. I had gone to the faculty to pick up mine from my course adviser wearing a combat and a shirt. He saw me on the corridor and pulled me into my course adviser's office and asked me to kneel down. I did and immediately tucked in my shirt. He told me I knew what my offence was and said i could go. It was a funny experience to me.

This is the only way to better instill punishment that would make it stick into the deviant being punished....
Every day, you will find Lawyers walk into Court leave and refuse to switch off their phones or alternatively put them in vibrate cum silent mode notwithstanding bold notices directing them to do so and verbal notifications from Court Registrars.....
So to get Lawyers to learn to adhere to basic instructions.....My Lord, His Lordship, Hon Mr. Justice M. Oniyangi prior to his elevation to the Court of Appeal whilst he still presided over his court as a Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja would direct the confiscation of the phones of erring lawyers and thereafter make them put up write ups such as those displayed above by the OP and guess what it stemmed the continued indulgence of legal practitioners in this unethical conduct in his court........

I have had similar experience lol, then I was in 200level. We did an exam in Cardiovascular System (CVS), the lecturer said the class performed poorly. He was gonna upgrade bt we shud all write cardiovascular system dull a 60leaves notebook. It was a hell of a punishment

Maybe she's dumb nd the only way to make it register in her brain is to ask her to write it as many times as possible. I hope it actually does register and she doesn't come late again cause if she does, God help her na 500 leaves, long hard cover she'll have to fill. Some people only learn the hard way.

d same thing happened to my mates far back in Jss1, they were caught eating in class by a teacher and he marched them round the whole school, in each class they entered, they said "I will never eat in the class again, so help me God", damn, it was very funny when we were interrupted in class to witness dat, I laff d whole day.
