OMG, this Buhari's speech is the most boring speech I have ever listened to. Shameful - a person aspiring to lead a country in the 21st century is reading address before an audience and hardly raising his head to look at the audience.

Few members of the audience could even understand what Buhari was reading, he is so incoherent, eating words, not knowing when to observe a coma, semi-colon and sometimes a fool stop.

Nigeria, a country with a very large educated class is being shamed by Buhari in London.

I would have preferred to see the transcript of those questions and the answers grin

Two particular questions were like the kind of questions you will see in a thesis defence called shining question. The asker knows that you know the answer very well but he wants you to impress your audience with it.

One question though, why is that I could count the number of white skins in the audience? Was that supposed be a black people's event? This is a sincere question.

You reason just like Buhari.

If nothing else, i will mention only one.

For once in our country's history Nigerians now know that their votes actually count.

That is the greatest victory and achievement a democracy can bestow upon its citizens.

Hahahaha it seems u reason like GEJ. Ar u always dis clueless?. d reason why People ar desperate to vote is because they want GEJ out of Aso rock. Despite d fact dat nigerians know dat what happened in Ekiti state can still be replicated by d PDP on a national scale, they ar so fed up & tired of d PDP & can not wait to vote out GEJ because of ineptitude. If dis is ur idea of an achievement, then it's a negative achievement.

God bless the good leaders of our dear country "Nigeria". I sincerely pity and have concerns for the people in this house 'Nairaland' cos most of us here are ignorant of what's happening in this world as a whole. Just remember we're all humans and one day we'll all die, do good and good deeds will follow you to your grave. GEJ or GMB (politics) must not change who we are and the love we have for another, I'm at the opinion of us embracing one another in respective of our religion or tribes. One Nigeria pls. . . . !!!

General Buhari has spoken well I appreciate the way and manner he presented his speech and I'm highly impressed that we're blessed as a country to have man of integrity like GMB in time like this. PDP party is a wild animal that we all need to team up together to tamed it via our PVC cards. Party of criminals that full of indictment figures. In fact president Jonathan association with these evil politicians is a litmus test of his corrupt leadership. Mr Jonathan has offered Nigerians the best of the best of his leadership and government any attempt to re-elect him will be a worsening scenario as what Ekiti people are facing now in the hand stomach infrastructures governor of Ekiti. Sai buhari Sai Baba!

I want to be respectful in my opinion.
for all those who are hailing nugatory for this speech, could you go back and take a look at the topic of this speech and the intention of this speech. this is supposed to be a lecture and not a campaign speech. buhari ended up giving us a campaign speech and not a lecture on the topic. mind u if your department it lecturer approves this topic for you as your project (bsc,ba,msc,Med,or PhD) topic and you write the topic like buhari..........

Or can GEJ present/deliver the speech the way GMBuhari did?

Even those hating him now or wishing him death will soon start praying for longlife for him when they start seeing the good changes around as he leads us to a #BetterNigeria.

You've asked urself why the Rep members in APC have not yet moved for the slash of their jumbo bonuses if trully this is a genuine "change"? I wonder why none of GEJ noise makers can't write a beautiful piece like this. All they do is shout about Buhari and APC. And they are always so aggressive. They should go and learn real democracy from APC.

According to Buhari

In the last two decades, democracy has grown strong roots in Africa. Elections, once so rare, are now so commonplace. As at the time I was a military head of state between 1983 and 1985, only four African countries held regular multi-party elections. But the number of electoral democracies in Africa, according to Freedom House, jumped to 10 in 1992/1993 then to 18 in 1994/1995 and to 24 in 2005/2006.

This is the highest form of self mockery i have ever seen.

This coup plotter and dictator is on a pulpit giving statistics about electoral processes and democracy in Africa.

Does he have some form of dementia or has he forgotten that he terminated a fledgling democracy that would have been 34 years old and thriving if allowed to evolve.

Trust the Brits at keeping a stiff upper lip while laughing you to scorn in their minds.

Ur post shows dat u know little or nothing about our history. d kleptocracy dat GMB overthrew was an accident waiting to happen. d NPN which he overthrew consisted of d worst set of criminals to be found anywhere in d world. They looted d country to bankruptcy in d greatest economic recession in nigerian history. Ghana dat had a similar problem wit nigeria executed its politicians including 3 former heads of states while Nigeria under GMB merely overthrew & jailed our politicians.
d NPN did not get to power thru free & fair elections & would not leave via elections & d nation was bleeding profusely because of d corruption & profligacy of d thieving politicians.
dat coup dat ridded nigeria of d NPN though unconstitutional was patriotic & even more necessary than d doctrine of necessity dat brought GEJ to power & saved d nation frm imminent crises. dat coup & GMB's performance while in office is d reason why knowledgeable people dat know d situation our country was in, in those days b4 & after GMB came to power still revere him very highly & yearn 4 his return. History will be kind to dis patriot who stepped up when we needed a leader.

It just a pity that some people some where does not want Nigeria to move forward, its a simple fact that Gej happen to be our president by mistake and his destiny, he did not have the leadership skills and attributes to be our President not even the vice president, that is why he could not command respect in his own cabinet, when he talks they will not take him serious or how can you explain the immigration employment scam under GEJ he even as them to return the money they refuse, almost all his minister are corrupt cos they feel his also corrupt no one took him serious, now they are begging Nigeria youth to apply for the same immigration exercise they duped us.

If you are a youth of this great country and you really want to live a meaningful life no one will tell you not to vote GEJ i mean your school of thought must have, if you dont want your unborn child to go through the hardship you are going through no one will tell you to vote out GEJ your instinct must have, if you really know that change is inevitable and it is possible we can achieve it, this is the right time for you to fight for what is just and right.

I did not collect a dime from any political party, but come to think of something, when do you think we the people of Nigeria will benefit from democracy ? our govt teacher told us that when the ruling party has strong opposition they will be forced to work or else they will loose next election then they will also become opposition, the new ruling party have no choice than to deliver. they will be exposing their weaknesses and corrupt acts, until these happens the people will never benefit from Democracy.

God really want to answer our prayer and wants to deliver us from PDP that is why He gave us GEJ knowing that he will make the party weaker and allow opposition to gain ground, this wouldn't have possible if we have more intelligent president like OBJ, this is the first time in the history of Nigeria democracy when the ruling party do not want election to hold because they will loose with a wide margin, so God Loves us all in this country but some of these youth are blind to see the positive side of this Change, even if APC failed, the new opposition party will campaign against them then we vote them out again before you know it one of them will fixed our power problem or refineries, we cant just continue like this and pretend as if things are okay.
GEJ has failed, he knows that that is why his is looking for ways to right his wrong at this injury time, but sorry Nigerians minds are made up, they want Change because change is constant.

Like many others. .u displayed ur ignorance as regards history with respect to the coup.the situation with nigerians economy then was even better than that of today to some extent if not same when it comes to widespread corruptves practices.buhari never participate d in the coup.he was in Plateau heading his own military divison when he was summoned, informed about the coup and subsequestly made the president by thw military council then.he never evem participated in the coup.besides that some1 was a military president does not make him umqualify for a democratic presdient.obasanjo was ones a military president..came back as a democratically elected one soo....besides talking about the international community....they laugh more at the incompetence displayed by joe lead government with regards to security and financial appropriation
