So a technology knowledgeable arm robber interest is to steal your curve flat screen TV in your house or is there something am missing here...wise up man the drone is harmless ,it seems years of military rules in this country has made us to be behaving as if Nigeria should be a police state

There is no need explaining anything to you. Your definition of the hazards of drones is limited to robbers stealing tv's. As if tv's are the only things armed robbers target. What about banks? We have a saying, "it's all fun and games till someone loses an eye".

I don't have any budget now. Do you have any idea on how much the one with camera is sold?.
it depends; we have ones of 20$ toy RC'S; we have ones of 100$; and we have semi proffesional drones which are sold for 750$ with great specs including 60 mega pixel camera mounted on its 4 sides, recording capacity of 320gb 1080HD recording ,speed of 40km/h, maximum altitude of 6000feet,semi hi-tech radar system. It also comes with a controller more like a RC.25 minutes maximum flight time, self tightening propellers, led lights for night flight,1 year warranty.it all depends on your pocket.

OP, are you from the DJI crew?

Nice one. Although from most of the naija drone clips I've seen, I realize we still have some work to do in the area of aerodynamic and lens stability. But we're getting there.

I also have reservations as regards public privacy. A UAV flying over my backyard isn't something I'd cherish. Worse is it being lowered into my compound and probably, close to my window...Gosh!!! I pity for naija celebs, cos if these bloggers really mean business, then naija paparazzi just got a notch higher. I just hope Tonto Dike and her colleagues don't get stalked with these things.

I hope to see NCAA reel out regulations soon. But before then, 'happy droning'.

Drone is very sensitive and should be heavily regulated. It is illegal to fly a drone over paris and it is not even legal to launch a drone strike on America soil. Nigeria needs to wake up and start regulating drones. These things are not ordinary toys, they can do real harm if armed.

you are right bruv ...they should give that drone to the borno armies to track shekau of boko haram

Nope. Any drone. You can fly it in a park or the beach. Not in neighborhoods and certainly not the way those guys were doing it in that youtube video. Puleese, try that over here and see if that drone is not shot down by an angry neighbor. What those guys were doing is same as privacy invasion. Can you imagine what a techy armed robber could do with that drone? He would know who's at home and who's not. Nigerians need to wake up.

I actually bought my drone in the states and I have flown it several times in florida, look out for an aerial view of vgc.
Re: Aerial View Of Lekki Via Drone Camera by dinggle: 11:58pm On Mar 01, 2015
A drone is a kite add engine + camera + battery
If you regulate drone you must be ready to regulate kites.
If you are afraid of drones buy a drone radar.
Are you thinking what am thinking? this drone can rope Obanikoro during presidential election oh. I hope INEC, political parties and individuals have their drones ready for the election.
PVC card reader + drones?...politicians are in trouble, cabal busted! the end of Abuja politics and political recycling in Nigeria.

They will probably never ban drones at most they will limit their maximum altitude, in the US I believe it's 400 feet for your average Joe, and higher with preapporval

Ikengawo,
im not sure you have ever seeing a drone in your life. Anything that is viewed above street level is a drone-view to you.

That video recording is not from drone...this is a panoramic camera with a slr interchangeable lens and it looks like they are using a lens in the range of 18 to 300mm in that recording and from a height of about 75 to 100meters above street level.

Get it right brother!
By the way, what state are you from You must not be from Imo, my inlaws are far smarter than your dumb @$$.

Armed with what? Na wah for your knowledge about drone o! there's no big deal flying these toys, only problem I see is privacy. Do you know that this toy cannot lift up heavy objects? So what will it be armed with that it will cause serous damage?

It is illegal to fly a drone over Paris at NIGHT! During the day is accepted but should be registered or identified.
I agree with you that people's rights might be violated with the wrong use of this stuff and it should be regulated.

The drone is for what, biz, communications, military or object of spying and doing some illegal things?

The camera much sharp sha. It would be better if it could be deployed to spot and record activities of sambisa residents.
