WP has a smaller range of choices, especially if you stick to Nokia Lumia series.

If money is not an issue, go for a flagship smartphone. Android has more than 5 flagships from different manufacturers. WP has much fewer.

I just got lumia 1020 about 1 week ago trust me from the second day I started complaining. it not user friendly, the market not as robust as android market. true caller functionality is limited ... trust me the list is endless. I would advise u not to think about it.

I prefer using window phone than android because wp is user friendly and less data consuming. In fact, you don't need to off your data when or after browsing. Unlike android phone you need to off the data all day all night.
As you know we have individual differences, fashions, tastes and choices. But as for me I can't use any other phone than only wp even currently I'm still rocking with my Microsoft Lumia 535 the first Lumia Phone by Microsoft after acquired Nokia.

Windows Phone 8.1 is pretty good. But if you can wait until later in the year for release of Windows 10 phones, do so.

Don't mind all this ppl blasting windows phone. Its all about your individual choice. I've been using windows phone and I have absolutely no regrets. The phone and OS keeps getting better cuz there r regular OTA updates that add new exciting features each time. And later in the year users of windows 8 phone will be able to upgrade to windows 10. So if you buy it now,it'll be cheaper than buying a windows 10 phone. And trust me the features on that windows 10 will be mad.
Sha it depends on what you're looking for in a phone. Both OS are good just go and find what phone is better at wat you need

Disadvantage of a windows phone though is that you'll mostlikely get too attached cos your apps will keep feeding you wtih interesting things all day long. Your 5mp camera for example will be sharper and much more better than most andriod's 8 and 13mp talk more of the higherwindows camera phones......and windows is not for illiterates. Anybody can use andriod but not everbody can use windows and ios.......plenty things dey for windows jare.

a lot of people make noise about things they dont know or are not willing to learn. Mind u the windows phone OS excels at everything the android and iphone do except their app store which is growing. most youth today do only a few things: facebook, twitter, instagram,...and thats about it. Listening to music and sharing videos which to me is a waste of productive time for any youth in this dwindling economy. asides that, the android os is power hungry so except u have cash to waste which to me no one really has, i would strongly advice u to go for a windows phone...prefearbly a mid ranger.

windows phone is fast and fluid
it does multi tasking just fine
has a file manager
has those apps that keep the youth glued to their phones instead of being productive
hardly ever lags
is much better for a focused mind
is more business inclined than any other OS

windows phone ecosystem just like android is undergrowing a growth, just like android did when it initially came out. If android is selling so much how come apple phones are now a threat, not by number, but by both quality of apps and profits made last fiscal year.

most times its not about following the crowd, know what u really want in a phone before u make such decisions though. if u just want to see a different wallpaper everyday and new icons, then id advice u to go for ur android. better still get a windows phone aside ur android and compare

The reason android phones consume data is because of the auto update of apps in the background.You can restrict it from the settings of mobile data in your phone.

i am posting this from a lumia 630. i have a 2gb data plan on this phone and it will run till month end. the best i can get out of android is 2wks.

i loooove windows phone. its very stable over a very long period of time. no need for routine formatting to fix software issues. the app store is partitioned according to the ram of the phone. you wont see fifa 14 in your lumia 635 but its in the store (not for your phone). the store has all basic apps and games. a cheap windows phone is fast and stable compared to android counterparts. you might not be confortable on changing but i and many others are so so happy with the windows phone. theres no harm in trying. remember, no imei tweaking.

You need to get updated with Windows phones and not the crappy picture showing an outdated OS you put up here. Who says copy and paste ain't allowed? Who says tethering isn't allowed? Which phone at this age and time does not multitask? One thing with you Android people is you never take your time to try out other OS.

Poster, get what works best for you. If you're into customization and are an app freak, get an Android phone. Bear in mind that Android phones lag seriously unlike their Windows counterpart which HARDLY lag. Windows phones to me have a better graphics display. Try playing games on both OS and decide. The only ish is you can't customize your menu the way you want so you're stuck with a menu list unlike Android phones where you can change it the way you want.

If you're not an app freak and looking for something matured, go for windows phone. I'd recommend a Lumia 830 for you. Camera quality of Windows phones are better than their Android counterparts (especially those with Carl Zeiss lens and also have incorporated the Pureview technology). Go for those with 1GB RAM or you can wait till Windows phone 10 is out.
