"Good afternoon Stephanie." Richard greeted bringing her out of her reverie.
"Richie! How have you been?" Stephanie asked.
"Fine." Richard replied.
"How is everybody, i learnt granny is dead?" she asked.
"Oh! Yeah, she died two years ago." Richard replied.
"I learnt Aunty Clara is back from Australia?" she asked.
"Yeah. She said the cold is unbearable." Richard replied chuckling.
Stephanie gave a short laugh.
"I am here on the issue of former president Lujan."
"What about it?" Richard asked.
"I want to appeal his case before his jail term elapse." Stephanie replied.
"How do you go about that?" Richard asked.
"I have all the necessary evidence, all i need now is man power to get the killers arrested."
"But the police are in the best position to help. And moreso, am no longer a serving agent, there is a limit to how i can handle guns except it is for my personal safety." Richard explained.
"Don't worry we'll have backup from the SIU. " Stephanie replied.
"Okay, am in." Richard responded.
"Thank you very much." Stephanie said rising up to leave.
Richard walked to the exit.
"How is Anna or are you guys no longer together? What of Eric, he should be in highschool now?"
Richard smiled sadly.
"Those two are dead." he said as hot tears rolled out of his eyes.
"Tell me how did it happen?"
Richard tried to speak but no word came out.
"I can see you are not in your right state. I'll come back to check on you." Stephanie said and left.

"Rodger, you have a choice to make now or you loose on both ends. Remember if you say no, i kill you and your mother, then you loose the chances of having full protection." Briggs said to a brutally punished Rodger who sat down tied to a chair.
"Please don't kill me, don't kill my mum." Rodger begged.
"I won't but your fate remains in your hands." Briggs replied.
"I can't join the group, its dangerous and evil." Rodger defended as he attracted more punches to his face.
"Give him the third phase." Briggs said and walked out.
One of the men who guarded him walked to a switch circuit. Put it on. Just then Rodger bagan shaking vigorously as a result of the electrocutive circuit connected from the switch to the chair.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......rrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrr" Rodger made some noise.
Just as he was about loosing his breath he managed to speak.
"I. I a.....am......iiiiin." he managed to say.
Just then the switch was turned off.
"Good boy." The man said happily.

Were you all aware of the tsunami that took place on Nairaland sometimes in June. This story was already completed since February but got the last few chapters wiped off as a result of the tsunami.
I'll find time to post the lost chapters.
