I seriously jealous this article,now i'm wishing I wrote this.

It's of great joy to know that there are still Nigerian youths in their right state of minds.
YOuths that sit and think analytically of situations bothering our nation.
I term them "the powerful little voices"

I'm happy,amidst the pale future i sense,they're still shinning lights of hope.

From your narration, it wasn't their ethnicity that provoked the fight but the saucy natures of two women acting like binches. The tribal card got played when the women got into full WWE mode. It just shows that deep down, most people are tribalists, and it surfaces when they're acting like primitive barbarians.

I on my part really cannot hate my neighbour because of his tribe: it takes too much energy which I am not inclined waste.

I regard Sani the aboki, Ochikpe the stingy-ass mofo of an Efik lawyer, Abayo the Yoruba tout and Meche the Igbo drug addict (all my neigbours) under the same microscope: Nigerians first, ethnicity second.

Do we sit and keep reaping of this sour fruit or continuosly shifting the blame to the decaying bones of our ancestors or maybe we should just learn to live with weeds growing in middle of our sitting room cus our ancestors didn't do us the favour of clearing them off right

Some wounds are yet to heal, but we pray it doesnt transcend to hatred.

I can relate to this standd. Once happened to me when I wanted to board a rickshaw. I tried getting down for an aged lady so that she can come in as I'd soon drop only for her to start shouting telling me how disrespectful I am. Before I realized it, she started speaking in her native language of how Igbo people are rude and uncouth and was saying something almost similar as you'll read on Nairaland. Who told her I was Igbo? She just assumed. That was when I realized how serious tribalism is.... it's not just online but also in the real world....

Some wounds are yet to heal, but we pray the hatred doesnt continue. Dont ask me which wound because someone's father was shot in a coal mine by soldiers (after the war) while he was working for the country.
The problem is that we vent our spleen on the wrong persons. Government has always been our worst enemy.

it has always been an issue for a very long time...










but it became worst some six years ago up to date...
