Let me just say a few things before you go around making st;pid posts about how the SU-30 has a better range.
Firstly the Su-30 needs much longer airstrips to land on( Not ideal for Africa), where as the Gripen has a wider range of landing opportunities and thus easier to maintain and refuel in a war time africa

Secondly the Gripen has only one engine,and the Gripens single engine is much more efficient and easier to maintain than the SU-30s twin engine.

the Gripen can also land on unprepared runways( essential in Africa)

And lastly
The Grippen:
Has a much better wing loading(making it more maneuverable )_
Has a much much much much much better RCS( better by 9900%)
Better avionics
Better Stall speed
Better Claim rate


So basically the Gripen is superior in every way.
