I have read about this once on cracked.com on one article about dangerous things people in d 18th century or so did for beauty. if a lady is worried about curves she doesn't have, she could exercise to tone up her figure or something. personally, I have always admired girls with svelte figure whereas I am the plumb kind. But, in our time, many women usually wear very tight dresses after delivery and up till today, such women are still very much alive. I know of some of these in my community who are old with their childred married too but are still alive and very strong. Going by that photo, am sure my these women are suppose to encounter that problem, but by God's grace, my wife inclusive are very ok today.
