Yes and No. It is not necessarily that she is slim per se, it is the lack of sufficient fat/cholesterol/adipose tissue that is the reason.

Estrogen is biochemically derived or made in the body from cholesterol/fat.

So, if you do not have enough cholesterol, you do not make enough estrogen.

Estrogen is responsible for secondary sex characteristics: brea*st development, pubic hair, menses.

She needs to eat perhaps. But, I would suggest visiting a doctor for basic exam and tests too.

It could be dermatitis. Need to figure out what it is that's causing the itch.

Try steroid topical cream on it for a limited time to relieve itch.

Wouldn't hurt to get tested for STD too.

Hi please i had a baby 7months ago,since after the delivery of my baby my menstural circle changed to twice a month, the last time i saw my period was on the 6th of march,which lasted for 4days. Since then i have not seen my period again. I am 100percent sure i am not pregnant. Please what can i do. I am getting worried.

Yes. You may. Although I would recommend that you use bromocriptine first to reduce or normalize prolactin, then try conceiving again. If not successful, then continue use of fertile aids.

What is the name of fertile aids that you are using?

6th of march is LMP? Well, today is only 9th of April. I would say irregular menses is normal for a while after delivery. I would go and see a gyn. Did you see one for your 6month post partum visit? If not, time for visit your gyn. You may need to get on OCP to regulate period.

Thanks alot for the quick responce, i saw my doctor six weeks after.delivery. whats OCP? When i had my daurghter, i didn't experince any of this. My period was regular then.

Oral contraceptive or just contraceptive. Clearly you have hormonal imbalance. IT can happen after delivery. I would still go and see your gyn for possible contraception.

Go and see a doctor and get the following first: complete blood count, Thyroid function tests (TSH, T4) and chemistry profile

Stop taking blood tonic. Your urine may be too concentrated. Drink lots of water in the mean time.

Does it hurt with urination? Fever, chills etc?

Hello docs ! My best friend actually had a d and c 3 yrs ago but since then she has been having pain in her lower left stomach. She said she used different type of anti biotics prescribed by doctors. And she went for scan and they said nothing is wrong with her but there's a white fluid in her pouch of douglas. She said the pain comes mainly wen she wants to see her period then she goes dizzy with her eyes really paining, feels weak, and feels like throwing up






Me: my stomach gets hot sometimes and it makes noise. What can I use?

I am concerned of thyroid storm.

Go to a good hospital and get a prompt evaluation and treatment.

Your friend needs to see a gyn doctor. She most likely have an infection. Need evaluation and treatment.

You- i need more info on your belly complaints. Elaborate more please.....

1: I have a few bumps at the back of my head, bumps that occur after hair cut and have been suffering from the bump like a year and some months now,sometimes it grows in many but it reduce soon after,althou I always try to supress it from growing further with the help of damatol and detol but seems to be adamant, I need medical help to completely remove it off my neck and be free from the small demon.
2: it's just an eczema which come back after It got clear off with help of some eczema cream I use,maybe it's in the blood or genetic thingy, just need a way to eradicate this completely as well.....
I will so much appreciate a response on this especially the bumps aspect..

Me: I usually av a noisy stomach and sometimes pain and movement in the tummy. And some times maybe wen av nt eaten it becomes hot from inside.

please I need your advise on this, My son's circumcision was not good, there was a large flesh still hanging beneath the ring region.
, people said I should leave it that it doesn't matter since it is not seen always like other parts of the body (the nurse that did it said the same thing , that it was because my baby was big (4kg @birth) that why the extra flesh still hangs) me and my hubby were not comfortable with it so with went to a general hospital to see a pediatrician, he said we can leave it or remove it for our own peace of mind, but adviced us to see their surgeon, the surgeon said he will remove the flesh and suture it. He said the flesh is too much to ignore as it may cause infections later.
we really want to remove it but I won't forgive myself if anything goes wrong
what is your advise on this?

Consider gastritis or ulcer. Go for a check up and perhaps get prescription for an anti-acid therapy in the drug class of proton pump inhibitor.

If you take non steroidal anti inflammatory pain reliever like ibuprofen and the like, consider stopping it.

Also consider testing for H. Pylori. If positive, treat.

As in hemorrhoids? It depends on severity. If mild, just control constipation and sitz bath and anal analgesic type things.

If moderate to severe pain with significant bowel movement restriction, then surgical, though I am not sure how permanent it is.

Consult with a general surgeon if able to.

To gain weight, you mean muscle weight or just fat weight?

If muscle, then weight lifting with protein supplements...the body building diet, which you can google. Or if you can afford it, consult with exercise physiologist/nutritionist.

If weight, eat more. Protein, carbs and the like. Just gain more caloric energy and expend less = weight gain.

If you have feelings of worm, I would go and get tested for worms then. Get ova and parasites lab test to begin with.

First, it sounds like you have sensitive skin.

Re Bumps:
Not sure that this is something that you can permanently zap away. It seems your hair follicle is prone to irritation.
You can do things to manage it: use new razor each time, avoid close cut/shave, use shaving gel, keep scalp moist before/during/after shave, anti itch/bump creams if available in your local store or just get 1% topical hydrocortisone cream, cut/shave less often.

Re: eczema: what eczema cream have you tried? Any of it steroid per chance? If not, consider topical steroid first. If it doesn't work, try higher potency steroid, if not, then there are other more potent ones you can try. But, if it gets to that point, then you may consider, dermatologist consult.

Hm. I've done circumcisions before. Honestly, if your concern is risk of infection due to extra skin, that's less likely the issue.

The issue is that of aesthetics for the parents and the baby boy when he gets older.

There are some chances that he may 'outgrow' the extra skin as the penis stretches with age.

But, if you want to get it over with, then do it now while he's still in infancy.

There is always a chance that something can go wrong whenever you perform surgical procedure: bleeding, infection, pain, damage to penile structures etc; though much less now.

But, take him to an experienced pediatrician and be assured.
