The Tecno Boom J7 is a mid range Android
smartphone that has recently been launched
in the Nigerian market.
We have received one for review and a
review post will be published soon. In the
meantime here are my first impressions of the
device + unboxing.

Out of box
The Tecno J7 comes in a colourful black and
white box. Inside the box you’ll find the
device itself, the Tecno J7, 2 protective
cases, a removable battery, earphones,
charger + detachable USB cable, user guide
and a warranty card.

Design
The Tecno J7 comes in a flat front and curved
back design. The screen covers most of the
front with a red round home button and two
red dots for the menu (left) and back button
(right). The home button lights up when there
is a new notification.
The J7 is light and thinner than previous
Tecno devices. The power button is on the
left of the device and the volume button is
on the opposite side (top right). The charging
port is at the bottom while the earphone jack
is at the top.

Screen
The J7 comes with a 5 inch screen + a clear
protective screen cover. The screen is nicely
clear and visible even when outside in
sunlight.

Operating system
The J7 comes with Android 4.4 Kitkat
operating system with an added layer of
customization that is barely noticeable. The
device also comes with a few pre-installed
apps like Google apps (Gmail, Maps, Google
Now, Google Plus and YouTube), Facebook,
BBM, WhatsApp, Opera mini, UC mini browser
and Du speed browser.

SIM
The J7 is a Dual SIM and uses one normal
SIM (SIM 1) and one Micro-SIM (SIM 2). Both
SIMS can operate at the same time but not
on data.

Battery
The J7 comes with a 2020 mAh battery. It
holds up well with power use and it survives
upto 8 hours.

Camera
The J7 comes with an 8 Megapixel awesome back
camera with flash plus a 2 Megapixel front
camera.

Extras
The J7 comes with metal earphones that produce excellent sound quality. The
speaker also, which is at the back, also has
great sound quality as well.

Don't bother yourself with the imei. No data bonus whatsoever is attached to the phone. The imei is totally useless.

arccodding to what I know .. dis phone were not only produced by tecno .. and the boom beats on it sound better than d.r dre.beat ... the techno f5 was not designed by techno .. it was designed in France .. I guess DAT.s why techno phones are getting expensive these days .. and don't just look down on a products because they are chinese..
