Will these people just shut up with there ethnic nonsense for once and see this country as one indivisible entity. Look at the big picture and take your heads out of your asses for a bit. I have been frequent visitor on NL for about 3 months now and I have come across lots of bigots and hypocrites alike. Can you guys be a little bit more accommodating of the other guy's ethnicity. PLEASE!!

Taa you ain't Yoruba cos the average Yoruba will hate ...but if u r Yoruba then ur type is going extinct

Nice one
I swear ooo,it was a shock to me during NYSC when d Yorubas will always complain anytime d Igbos win anything like cultural dance, etc.
Upon d fact that all d tribes in Nigeria were always represented in d voting, yet d Yorubas and d Yorubas only will always protest in anything d Igbos come first in.

Am a Yoruba boy and I always say this, the Igbos are gifted with technological prowess and they are very industrious too......this is just one example of so many where an Igbo man builds something from scratch. You can read up on another Igbo man Philip Emeagwali.(There won't be internet without him)

This doesn't mean Yorubas and Hausas don't have their strengths too but there is something VERY unique about the Igbos.

I imagine a Nigeria where there is absolute love among all the major tribes of this republic so we can be the envy of others.

God Bless the Igbos
God Bless the Hausas
God bless the Yorubas, Tivs,Kanuris, etc (please don't be offended if I didn't mention your tribe........lol)
God bless Nigeria and the whole world.
I think I love you, not the homo own, when we put our heads together we are undefeatable,

A young lad approached me a week ago while i was eating at a restaurant at Garki 2 Abuja and flipped open a catalogue of his products and i was amazed at the ingenuity of the Igbos. This country has raw untapped talents.

He manufactured an industrial yam pounding machine that gets over 20tubers of yam pounded in two minutes when cooked.

He detailed his processes in that catalogue and i asked him what he wanted from me.

He said he wanted link to NOTAP to be able to showcase his products so that the world can see what he is capable of.

i have made calls to arrange how we can see the NOTAP DG buit was told he is out of the country.

I saw myself buying him a good lunch, gave him some cash to encourage him.

I was much humbled when he told he finished from one polytechnic in Abia state.

I look myself with 3 degrees and couldnt place it.

i wonder the discrimination against polytechnic students and where we are headed as a country with that policy.

only technical education will build entrepreneurship not the B.sc and M.sc we flash arround with no technical skill

An average igbo doesn't need employement all he need is encouragement ...be can be a consultant not lecturing and striking every now and then

It took him six months to develop one, how long will it take to produce on a large scale
Or you think encouragement will teach him how to handle sophisticated high-level tools

A very good development. By the time we realise that we can never develop until we support and patronise our indigenous technology, we'll be counted amongst the developed nations. Kudos, once again.

They will call it igbo made to discredit or aba made ..it will be nice to go our separate ways so that it will be tagged

I thought nairalanders used to laff over stuffs like; how much garri is sold, trends like here in France, my 2cents. but right now this tribal issue is really getting out of hand I don't get the hate.

Most yoloba pple here have igbo friends, most of my friends are Yoruba probably becos it a trending thing everybody is taking it for a joyride...lets all be careful and stop fanning the fire it will only grow wild!!!

IMO, the true spirit of biafra is lost I don't think the idea is genuine, if a referendum is done today am sure does in support of one nigeria will be like election result in kano!!!

No it's not.
Common sense would tell you that subsequent attempts would be easier and quicker than the first attempt esp where resources (money and skilled manpower) and sophisticated equipment are readily available.

I must commend the ingenuity coming from that part of the country despite all the challenges there they still manage to build an industrial hub ( Anambra state.)
But I must say that this is not an exception. Dredgers are being built like this from PH to Warri to Lagos so many wielders and mechanics are coming together for better synergy.

Only if electricity can improve and Ajaokuta steel is brought back to life. We should be looking at exporting dredgers, fish trawlers, bridge columns and casts, mega cranes, pipelines, jackup rigs, wind turbines and so on...

Remember the secound oldest canoe in the world was discovered in Nigeria "so no be today we start.
