hmmmmmmmm good, i accept i see you can speak afrikaans u hv alot of advantages i must confess (what everyone is turning to are the things you have already)
Good work u are doing here. I have heard a lot of negative review on south Africa, but u seem to have a 1st hand information, having tasted both sides.

Can 1.5 million naira be able to get one a residence permit, and a legal business that can sustain him there? Apart from fashion and beauty line, what other line of business can one be able to learn under few months there and start? Can one be able to combine running of business and schooling? Thank u

yes it can, the business are (1) buying accident cars fix them and resale, (2) saloon (3) restaurant, (4) buying nursery school. thtz all i know of, the types of permit u can get are, work permit, study permit, business permit and life partner but u cant get perminent residence permit now. tht amount is good for start up here.

Buying a restaurant or a nursery school sound cool, but am kind of wondering the nature/level of restaurant or nursery school one can be able to buy with 1.5 million naira, and still have some money to process his permit, which is to be given 1st attention. U have been helpful with ur knowledge

how can i describe this, ok as we all know it's hard for any one to sell a restaurant or business thatz moving fine, thatz where ur knowledge and skill comes in.
we are all buying failed business, be it car i said ''accident car'' the same thing with nursery school and restaurant, we are all buying drowning business and we resurrect them, is like buying a ''mama put here with that amount'' then you will re package it the way you want with that same amount.
the most important thing is to get a spot, renovate it and start it the way u want same goes to nursery school, saloon, flat etc.
thatz the reason why it's composory you learn any one you choose cos here it's difficult to survive if you dont have the knowledge. if you have knowledge it's soo easy here.
i see it as ''my knowledge and hard work couldnt save me in nigeria but same thing saved me here and soo many of us with the right knowledge''

smiley ...This Is Cool...Thumbs Up Mr Op!!! Is It Not Possible To Run Cab Business In S/A? Is It Easy Or Tough? How Do One Go About It? And What Is The Average Revenue On A Daily Basis In Naira? Thanks Bro!
forget cab business you can't cope ,More importantly the business is for the locals .You can try restaurant, saloon ,Cafe or buying of cars and reselling business in SA.On a serious note getting job in SA is easier if you re science oriented,IT,Medical personnel or technician(refrigerator,AC and Laptop repairs) .For those coming for postgraduate studies there are many scholarships mostly designed for science students and most time students are employed as tutors or laboratory assistant. .

its always good to keep outstanding grades if you want life to be easier for you in a foreign land or be active in campus activities to get recognition, you might get a job as a junior lecturer
Thanks for your kind response. With five hundred thousand naira, can one conveniently finish a maater's degree programme?

example of this man is, i just got admission resently accounting now iam paying someone who is coming to teach me at home and thatz what alot of us accounting students do, apart from that geting a job is still going to be the same like nigeria, the example i just gave is the easiest way cos by the time you have 3 to 4 students etc you will be fine for a start as time goes you may still get more students, so yours is a bit easier.
I thank you from my hearts of hearts brother. Would five hundred thousand naira be enough to sponsor a Master degree programme? I just want to genuinely study.

There are scholarships for postgraduate students .Google should be your best friend now because no one here can give details of all the scholarships /grants of schools in SA. Check school website and above all school fees not high but the value of naira make the fee high to Nigerians

if that amount is inclusive of school fees, rent, feeding etc, then it's not enough unless u are saying to start with also if u are ready to take any job while u are studying from security job to teaching to anything then u 'll be fine.

I have a family friend in Vienna Austria who drives a cab, that's what he used in training his kids over there too. The last child is about graduating.
Maybe you should check for the thread on travelling to Austria or Vienna, I have no knowledge about their visa, permit etc.
