I attended my sister's church today in Arepo, Ogun-State. I attend the church whenever am around.
I noticed this morning that there was a very loud speaker playing different kind of Muslim songs so I asked my brother in law when the mosque started and he said theres no mosque. That the man that owns the house opposite the church (a strong muslim) complained severely that MFM church were disturbing him that they r not the only church around. So since they did not do anything about it he decided to teach them a lesson by putting a loud speaker directly in front of them.
The funny thing is the man sat inside his compound pressing phone.
My sister's church is beside the MFM church, RCCG, Peace and Godwin Parish.
We got to church 7am so I saw everything and moreover I always stay in the children's church upstairs
Kind of funny... It is well cos I Dnt know what to say...

He just did that because he's of different faith. Afterall, they too also disturb every 5 a.m with their shouting.

I have the same experience too.
When I stay with my uncle in aba for one holz like that, there was this church that mounted their speaker on the fence that seperates us.
One of the out neighbours was always complaining to the pastor and was fed up.
He travelled to Korea to buy the sound system that is mostly used in clubs (mind you he has no business with music or sound engineering) and mounted it on the same fence. When its Sunday he kills them with clubs jams. It was so loud they had to stop service on two ocassions to beg this man. It was now his time to form.
In the end, the church had to relocate.
It would be nice our senate pass a bill into law against these so called churches or any organisation that breeds noise.

my man u are right o. There is one church beside my house in Ibadan known christ apostolic church. One night while I was sleeping,I just heard fire!fire!! Fire!!!!!! Unexpectedly,I woke up and almost run out of the my room before I realize it was church activity that was going on.This story was around early 90s when the shouting of fire is not that rampant,unlike now that almost all the churches have accepted it into their doctrine.

Let there be laws to stop both christians and muslims from giving us noise pollution in our environment.

there is a law that restrict people for noise pollution.There is a permissible limit,for residential area and business area as well.If there is any mosque,church night club etc that you think is disturbing you report your case to national environmental standards and regulations enforcement agency(NESREA),they will help you out.Infact,they have settle many cases like this,which have a good outcome. They do go to mosques and churches for sensitization on noise pollution and other environmental concern.

Religious organisations should me made sound tight. When I was in secondary school, there was this church called mountain of fire that was very close to my school. They don't eat, they don't sleep, they don't work, all they do is scream "fire" 24 hours a day, or so we thought. until one day during break time, me and my friends decided to go and see for ourself what was going on in there. To our surprise no one was there but one old security man. There were just playing a CD tape on repeat shouting "fire, fire, fire". Their speakers echoed up to the heavens. Sometimes we will feel our desks in class vibrating. So its good that, that man gave them a taste of their own medicine. Them think say na only them sabi where them the sell speakers abi? Una neva chi cum chin!
