Super Tucano was dropped in favour of Su-25, that was just about 6 months ago. Aircraft purchase is not 3 day shopping for rice and chicken in the market. Both JF-17 and Su-25 deals are confirmed to be at near contract signing stage by Janes Defence.

If SAAF acquires the Marlin BVR missile in the near future, our Gripens will be near unstoppable.Our pilots have already proved how effective they are in visual range combat at Lion Effort, and now that we have the A-Darter all that's left is for a BVR missile, and thanks to the Defence Review, funding will no longer be a massive obstacle!

So junk fighter is again beaten in close air to air combat.

Why do we have to discuss Gripen, Junk Fighter and SU-30 when Nigeria has none of those fighters? Nigeria has only less than five operational F7s and thus they should have been talking F7s now.
