The makers of the JF-17 seem to disagree, they refer to the fighter as "JF-17 Thunder is an advanced, light-weight, all weather, day / night multi-role fighter aircraft; ".

JF-17 sold for $25 million is a "day time interceptor"

Bwahajahaha… A thunder that strikes at a snail pace of mach 1.5. What kind of interceptor is that? A poor junk.

Actually, it is only 10% better. Your block 2 is only 10% better than the JF-17 block 1.

Why wont you past a citation for 23 years old?

Really? Every year is OP Biro for NN? Which year did you order 3 modern, brand new, Frigate sized OPV's?

Thunder, Okpobana, Centenary, Sagbama, Unity, and 10s and 10s of IPVs.

You are getting no frigates, you are only getting 3 OPVs and 3 IPVs. This is what you waited 23 years for?

Fact is only 2 Countries actually operate the Gripen in actual "numbers", Sweden and South-Africa. The other countries barely operate the type.

Fact also is over 280 JF-17s have been ordered.

The Junk Aircraft systems barely better than the JF-17 thunder block 1, is been sold for $68 million a unit- but nobody excerpt the Swedes and Dundee South-Africans want it.

What about future user such as Brazil. Canada has shown interests and hopefully India will buy it.

Tell us about your Junk Fighter.

260 sold for $68 million says that people who know allot more than me and you agree that it is worth it

They know more than you, not me, as there. Is enough evidence to question their sanity and thought process.

The Blk 2 of a Gripen is only marginally better than the BLK 1 of a JF-17 thunder...... what a rip off!

1. Where does it say we waited 23 years?
2. Frigate sized OPV's

- NNS Thunder: Second hand, 49 years old
- NNS Okpobana: Second hand, also over 40 years old
- NNS Sagbama: Type 062-class gunboat, probably second hand, design dates back to the 1950's, less than 40 meters long
- NNS Unity: Only vessel you have in service that compares to what we are getting

So well done, you have 1 platform like what we are getting, with another on order... we are getting 3 cool

Nope its much much much better.

Faster
more manoeuvrable
better climb rate
better HMI
better HMD
more Hard Points
higher Payload.
better Radar
Lower Stall speed
Shorter Landing Distance

Definitely more than 10% better mate!!

Nigeria specialises in second hand materials. They are probably also looking for second hand Junk Fighters.

You waited since 1993 for Project Biro.

NNS thunder, hull age doesn't equate to age of systems fool!

Same as Okpabana...... for God's sake what do they teach you in South-African schools.

Sagbama 47 meters IPV

NNS Centenary and Unity, top of the Range OPVs.

These are all facts

You are only getting 2 OPV's that are comparable to the 3 we will get from OP Biro cool

And again, I ask you for proof of your claims that we have waited since 1993 for OP Biro - why do you refuse to substantiate these claims?

South African engineers knows far better than Pakistani aeronautical engineers and we are a far better industrialised country than them. We are not their second fiddle when it comes to technology. What do Pakistani know about what is the best, since they receive everything technology speaks about from China. Their only contribution on that JOINT FAILURE is their money which China dubbed them of. They are now looking toward to recover their loss from countries as poor as Nigeria. China is now looking for all the options avaolable to pull out of that JOINT FAILURE.

Project Biro was never a project in 1993 until in 2011, it was a mere proposal. You see there is a difference between a proposal and an approved project. It was further approved in 2014.

However, the Junk Fighter is a day time interceptor.

Pakistan uses three jets in its tribal areas f-16,mirage v and jf17 and all three have day/night capability

Whatever goes by the name of Junk Fighter cannot do aerial refuelling, we are still waiting for the 29th aircraft that is said to have all those features. If Nigeria is banking for JF then they will have think twice before yet again they will be flushing their money down the toilet just as they have done with F7s. The Junk Fighter is just another F7 and even F7s outperforms it.
Actually jf17 is better than f7 and is Pakistan,s replacement for its f7 and mirage III/V

JF-17 carried Hypersonic missile confirmed by reputable Janes defence with photos

SAAF will not buy any BVR missile till year 2030

I can provide pictures of aa Gripen carrying the Meteor missile!

Your pictures don't prove anything!

SAAF will buy BVRAAM soon!
