We might need to wait for a very long agonizing time before we are paid...( i believe we will...becos of our prayers). But it has been repeatedly said that permanent secretaries of different ministries are actually working as activities are not grounded in ministries; for they even meet with the president regularly. Is it therefore impossible for the permanent secretary in the ministry of finance to approve our fund?

While pondering on this, I also wonder why second tranche fund was approved leaving just 215 qualified awardees out?...in as much as, entrepreneurs are never-give-up set of people, I must confess that this is painful. But we have to move ahead! Get creative! Think outside the box as entrepreneurs who we certainly are

And...as much as possible lets continue to pray that God will intervene; so that at the end of the day, it will be that they were just saving our fund for Us!

instead of them to Concentrate on finishing up Payments, they Are Talking about Spot checks.

You should be talking about the spot checks we were notified about yesterday. It is different from the proper monitoring visits by independent monitors and SMEDAN. Just a handful of awardees will be visited. Have you received your second tranche?

But why are they wasting scarce resources repaying a visit? What about those who have long left their post so as not to continue accruing debt while waiting endlessly for reimbursement?

...but I think its atleast a sigh of relieve. Its better to have a time frame than boundless waiting...in the final analysis, may we be paid

I think we should put 'God will win' aside for now and start thinking of how to go to the Federal Ministry of Finance to ask what is delaying our payments. Anyone on this thread share my line of thought?

I do share your thought. Though I had thought of this action before now not until I was categorically told that until the new minister comes to APPROVE THE FUND there is nothing they can do for now... i just thought of giving them until then. What do you think?

That was the scary info I got when I called the sec., and that was my last...sadly. I was told exactly what i wrote 'waiting for approval by the new Minister'! The reason why I was always calling the sec was why it was so difficult for Per sec to sign (when ofcourse they act in the stead) an already 'approved fund'? And my last call was when I got the above info...

He also said he called the bank (access bank) and they told him that the money has been lodged in d bank, they are waiting for orders to start paying. I believe that we will be paid within this week.

Well that is what he told mme. In fact he was the one dat called me asking if I have been paid 2nd tranche, when i saiid no, he now called these ppl (secretartiate and bnk) and then called me to give me the info. So I am believing that ii is true. I am iim south east and in 2nd batch too.

You are probably right, but since the YouWIN secretariat says the delay in the release of our funds is as a result of due processes being undertaken by the FMF, I do not think it's a bad idea if we contact the FMF directly to seek further clarification.

For our sake I hope your monitor is right, but since he had earlier said we would be paid this past week and it did not happen, do you think we should rely on further information from him?
