please which schools did you apply to and how did you go about the applications. Thank you
all the top midwest schools I used USNEws.com, they simplify search for grad schools based on cost, acceptance, funding, location( big or small city), job opportunity scale per course, if u are a stem major look at the university with large acceptance for stem majors, illionios institute of technology, texas tech, university of Illinois urbana champagne, are good schools with high acceptance rate research more brother...

someone told me if I had a GPA of 3.00 on a 5.0 scale then I can apply to any school and I will be admitted..my question is what is the difference between 2.98 and 3.00? I think stellar GPA should be from 3.5 upwards.

benjaminiyke, even with 2.6 on a 5 scale u can get into the LSU PSU ASU OKC, when u have a great application(good gre and toefl scores, and a fantastic LORs and sound letter of intent) oyinbo man nice pass our rigid system here, u can still get the opportunity to do a phd at those top 20 schools with strong referrals from the lower schools dont despair I didnt wink, a first class graduate of great IFE is my faculty program head in my school, so dont whine on a poor CGPA but get a well packaged application

Don't give up on your dream... I strongly believe in having passion for a profession.
That's prolly the only reason left why I'm still hanging on to aviation.
But sometimes it's not always a straight path.

Have a plan and ultimately ask God for directions them watch and see how He provides the parts.

thanks. God bless you too.

Oga I have so so so many friends with first class in Industrial and pure chemistry... My mates, my juniors and my seniors from Unilag... There shouldn't be an excuse in failure...be it lecturer's faults or bulkiness of courses. So many people in the same shoes as you but they manage to come out with first class or a very close-to-first class grade.
that will never happen in Uniport. First class, Never, just few 2.1. Some schools house the craziest lecturers from that dept. I have an uncle in that dept., looks frustrated and with all his pay he went and got a Golf 0(that's how dead the car looks) and placed an advert for a driver in front of his house.

Why not pay through bank draft in Nigeria? Credit card is sensitive sometimes.

My question goes to those who have been there:

Anything wrong with gesticulation while one responds to questions from the VO?

I've really been thinking. For me, it tends to be an involuntary action (Sure I'm not the only one with that problem).

Cc: Imperriox, Bigfrancis, Zeezahbee, Msnas, Slimmy, Innovativeme, Stewee.

Even you like begin shaking your yansh while talking, so far you're making sense, you portray yourself as a student (genuine) and able to convince the VO. You will be fine.

@ benjaminiyke,

I would first of all evaluate my GPA to a 4.00 scale. The chances of getting admission into a Chemistry, MS program in the US becomes almost zero if it is lower than 2.50/4.00. Also do not be deceived you need to consider the tier 2 schools most notably the California state university system. Like others rightly said a number of factors is considered, but you also need to show that you can do research since your degree would be researched based. Talk about your final year project and other lab experience you have. That is a huge pointer to being successful in graduate school. Do not waste your money by applying to Tier 1 universities like LSU, ASU, OSU et al

Dude, your first comment shouldn't be asking someone to help you with his or her credit card. It scares hell out of people.

You look smart though.

Hi guys. I've dropped my transcript. Got my visa approval today. Thanks for the congratulatory messages.

One more thing. I requested for a change of ds 160 comfirm number but didn't get an autoreply mail. Went ahead with the one i didn't want to go with since that was what reflected on my appt page this morning. Visa was approved with it.

This evening I got a mail telling me the das 160 number was duccessfuly changed. I checked the page and it now reflects the new one.

I have a visa approval with the old one, and today the page now shows a new ds number. Hope this will not affect the already approved visa?

Anyone with info on how this thing works.

I already replied the mail explaining what I just explained here, butt no repy yet.

I was told by vo to pick up on thursday.
