I actually know both bride and the groom,but I was unable to go for the wedding,tho I got the invitation. I have heard of these types of marriages many times.
If the hubby is absent (most likely because he lives abroad), it is legally acceptable that the marriage can be officiated using a recent framed picture of the hubby. Lord know how they sign the marriage certificate!
