A lots of people has called me requesting to visit my farm. This gladden my heart and am eager to welcome as many people as possible. But my concern is I will like to take all interested nairalander to the farm at once(same day) and show them my hands on experience in the business.
Pls those that are interested or those nominated by nairalander should post their contact no on this thread so as to get across to them and choose a day we can all go to the farm. @ jethro don't judge yet oooo visit his farm first before u judge cos' the bro av tried oooooooooooooooooo. really water melon grow to harvest period for 70-80 days for them to ripe for harvest. i notice toward my research when they clock 60 days on land harvesting av started it depend on type of breed of seed one plant. so pls let us be careful from our utterance. thks

How will you spend #32,000 on transport? Haaba! , within the same state. There are potential market that are very close to you, this reduced your T-fare to the lowest. Infact , some buyers are even ready to follow you to your farm for harvesting (Like my previous harvest)

What is the cost of a pick up laden with water melon from say iseyin to ketu?

Which transporter takes 3k for transporting 1800 water melons.

Do you realise that water melon is heavy and takes space?

Obviously, your transport cost does not involve your movement of your self and inputs to the farm in 3 months

What do you expect me to be doing on the farm everyday? To speak on each plant or watch them as they grow per second.........? Don't compare watermelon to other crop(ask those in the field). Give me 5 reasons why I have to go everyday and i will prove you wrong. Once have done what is expected of me @ d early stage, I only visit once in a week and twice sometimes (depending on the treatment I want to apply/when harvesting is approaching).

The only thing i found right of all you have said is the access to land from government as a matter of fact i know of a government agency that collect as little as N2,500.00 to lease land for agriculture purpose but in at that if you dont have close to N70,000.00 forget about it when it comes to watermenlon platations.
