Firstly i attended Goethe Institut and wrote the B1 Zertifikat Deutsch and Passed, then and then only i immediately applied to a Universtity in Germany with my WAEC and other necessary documents and within a month i got an Admission Letter from a University stating that but before i start i have to visit a Studienkolleg for BSc but Msc you don't have to and before i start the Studienkolleg like you said you will have to write an entrance exam only when you pass then you can start Studienkolleg proper and at the end of the Kolleg you will write an exam called ''Feststellungsprufüng''(FSP) an equivalent to the German Abitur. Now when you pass the FSP then you can start School proper if not .. sorry to say you have to go back Home: So that's my story and also the answer(i guess) you need.

When people analyze on this thread, how it's easy in a city to get a job and the "Many people speak and understand English" i laugh at such stupid comment and spill my favorite Banana juice.

I'll repeat again and again, Are going for BSC or MSC in englisch, learn german up to B2 and welcome yourself to paradise.

IMHO, Some comments on this thread is purely based on someone reading alot online and dumping "#crap" here angry

Cheers.

Futurewise that's a very positive news. It means that the interview went well, his documents are okay and they will be sent to Alien's office in Germany.

With A2 you should be able to get something. Many people here dont have b1 sef and they enjoy and survive here.
My advice is watch ur spending.connect with working class people in ur city.check ur nearby african church nd mosque.speak up to people in your city, you will get something to take care of your monthly expenses.atleast mini job(450euro tax free).

I greet u all my good people... I appreciate d good work u guys are doing in here. The information that has been dropped here since part 1 of this thread is unquantifiable and has been of immense help 2 alot peeps.

I've been observing and reading silently (pardon my silent mode)... I would like 2 state my case humbly and as well get as much info d house could offer.

Am a BSc holder... Am aiming to be admitted come this Winter Semester. I've applied (though a bit late) 4 my masters in Cottbus-BTU Bradenburg via Uni-assist. I've made my payment & as well hav receive an acknowledgement and payment receipt via mail but till date d status of my applications are still showing 'processing not yet started' even though d application deadline has elasped.

My questions...
- For those that hav been makin use of Uni-assist services, is there any mail they ought to hav send i've not receive apart from d ones i started above.

- What are my chances of still being admitted seeing that alot of prospective Winter Semester peeps have already gotten their admisson letter and some has already secured their Visa but mine is yet to be processed by uni-assist before onward forwarding to my chosen School.

- To avoid missing out this Semester - knowing fully well i will bang d admission with my degree Cert. - i had to apply for BSc too. as well in same Course & School. Do u guys think my action would limit my chances of getting admitted for d Masters (assuming dsame admission panel for Masters would still precide over that of Degree) on d ground my action looks desperate.

Pls pardon if my questions, somehow, hav been answered previously... And to some that might see my questions as weird tongue . When u see testimonies flying around, u tend to be more apprehensive and anxious to receive yours as well. cheesy

Waiting in anticipation for a reply. Thank you all.

And to guys that hav secure theirs... Congratutions! I will rejoice with u guys soon.
Isha Allah.

I think you should worry less, from what I've gathered so far from the part one of this thread and elsewhere, and if past experiences are anything to go by, application made to uniassist even a day before the deadline would still be sent to the school, and in many schools admission would still be on even until august. My 2 cowries though.

First, it will take Uni-assist 4-6 weeks to evaluate your transcript/CGPA. B4 they forward ur document to d applied school. Don't panic about d deadline. You can e-mail uni-assist I'm sure you will get d same reply

Don't panic if u apply for M.Sc/B.Sc I did dat also. Bro relax n pray 4 Holy Spirit intervention #Gbam

I was in ur shoes last year, let me highlight the house on what i did, so that others would learn, because many got discouraged after they released that their applications or payment reached uni-assist late.

first of all you have to know that BTU Cottbus's application deadline (uni-assist) is July 15. My application reached early but my payment reflected a day after the deadline. i was frustrated and felt bad(i really wanted to start studies last year).

i went back to uni-assist website and read it thoroughly, I found out that all my documents would be kept for one year and if i wish to apply for the same school(s) course(s) and semester the following year all i need is to fill the uni-assist forms sign and post at NO EXTRA COST.

I waited for april and the very first day BTU's application portal was activated on uni-assist website I applied and sent the forms.

Please my brother (I dont wanna discourage you) there is no hope of getting admitted to BTU this year, because BTU sent out admission letters since 23rd July 2015 (except if a miracle happens
). Just prepare and send your forms next year.

If you have a MSc and wanna study a second MSc in germany most schools will ask you to pay tuition fee It may be same for BSc

once one's application goes through Uniassist screening the applicant is already 95% admitted the other 5% will be determined by the institution depending on the number of applicants they have and the number of places they wanna admit students into.

Yea you are right, and it may also depend on the number of places available for the particular course, so it seems the admission process and timing varies not just from school to school but from department to department in same school
