Sensible enough.

No one has a monopoly of violence. The aftermath of trouble making shall be on troublemakers land. A word is enough for the wise.

You guys better embrace peace. Any amnesty program should be to the advantage of the entire community. And should be directed to things like schools, roads, power, bridges, scholarship for brilliant students, etc.

Well said, however let it be known that Buhari already made up his mind to stop Amnesty before assuming office. He has stopped Amnesty for real, don't be deceived. The best thing for ND agitators is to do the needful.

Buhari should use head. Any confrontation could lead to unrest. He should also carry every region along.

This is what some importance-wielding Northerners just can't do; call their mule-headed half-brained Boko boys to order, even while in power. undecided
Except my good friend, Bala Emma, and his family and whichever lady he intends to marry as well as the smiling Mallam who sell stuffs across the street grin, the rest of you Northerners are worthless he-goatsangry

There was a time when FG was begging ND as they are begging Boko now for amnesty. Yar 'A Dua tried his best to make peace rain. Please apply wisdom. Don't just cut off a process like that.

Says who ? He's fine but the Niger Delta is still bleeding all thanks to our leaders from our region and the Nigerian state that has no sense of being grateful for once.

Good one from tompolo.

But in my opinion, there has to be a reduction in the amount being paid, not because of bad belle.....but because thanks to falling oil revenue,Nigeria does not have enough money.......and we have to cut down on everything.

Also, let's be honest APC.....if you want to sustain welfare projects like amnesty, et al.......you must put Nigeria on the path of industrial development. Resource dependency does not add much to the national treasury. Nigerians...including the Niger Delta ......must prepare for the end of high oil prices. The time has come for us to use our brains to survive. Oil will not save us.Oil is useless for developmental purposes.

Just pity him. Next time he might not be getting dis explanations!

Firstly,it's unfortunate having Tompolo group requesting for useless stipend.Only this guy collected 100 million dollars per annum multiply by 6 years of the corruptible GEJ administration. What an intimidated region.

Re: Tompolo: Why I Met With MEND by jaems: 5:18pm On Jul 24, 2015
It is troubling to know that some people don't mind a re-convening of the militants to do battle against the government. The amount of money spent on the militants already in the past administration could have been used to put their communities in proper shape and provide jobs for them. Instead of this, GEJ sent them to expensive Nigerian schools and even out of the country; not like they will come back to be useful to themselves, the Niger-delta communities or the nation at large.

Amnesty was the biggest waste of the tax payers money. Those communities haven't improved. I wouldn't however blame the beneficiaries, it was another means to loot the treasury.

These guys should go and rest and stop uneccessary agitation - this government won't respond to it. They should all go look for jobs to do and stop waiting for money. Naija no get money. As for Tompolo, he has made it, I dont think he will involve himself in any form of trouble. He's one of the richest men in Nigeria, what will he be fighting for - he sure has more to lose fighting than helping to keep the peace.
