I disagree on cheap transportation. Taxi fares in Lagos is way more expensive in Lagos than Abuja. The cheapest taxi fare one pays in Lagos is #1500 while abuja is #300. Lagos taxis are rip offs

The problem i have with Abuja is ppl living here are too fake,and most big houses don't have occupant,only been used to service Lagos girls flown to Abuja to service by them and fly back to Lagos and after been used.most abuja ppl live in slump or village prone to demolition anytime.

I pick drop in abuja for 200 u cant find such here.
No wonder lagosians life span seems shorter in niaja due to unnecessary stress.

lagos is just like the new york city of america. Lagos is over concentrated wit lots of investment. Dats y d over population there is over bearing. Is bad for a state like nigeria should have just one strong financing bedrock of the nation which is lagos, all other states need to b invested also for the sake of jobs

@ Emmatdayo, transportation being cheap in lagos is a big lie.
I paid 4500 for taxi from lekki to FESTAC after much bargain.
In Abuja,that distance won't cost more than 1500 or 800 sef because the road is wide and free!
Each time I'm in Lagos,I age over night due to stress. Many young people in Lagos look old because of stress.
I hate Lagos! Dirty,lousy environment with lots of fake people on the Island!

Give me Abuja and sanity anytime. If you want to go to Lagos for a weekend you can, but to move there from ABJ is to burden your soul.

I may have to disagree with you on cost of transportation cos I've stayed in both towns...transportation is even cheaper in Abuja. I know this one for sure, that doesn't mean your other points are completely true but transportation is completely false which means others could be false too.

Another point is cost of accommodation. I don't agree with you also. In as much as there are affordable houses in Lagos mainland, what about on the Island? Plus in Lagos you're mandated to pay for at least 2yrs.
In Abuja on the other hand, if you look for an apartment in Asokoro, Maitama, Garki, Wuse 2, Area 11,Cetral Business District (if ppl live there) you are going to get them very expensive. However, there are satellite towns...kubwa, Nyanya, New Nyanya, Gwarimpa, Gwagwalada, Zuba, Karimo, Maraba, Mpape, karu, Duse, Area 1 etc and accommodation is relatively affordable in these areas. So u can't really say Lagos is more affordable based on this.

It's nobody's fault if you're among the low class who don't enjoy abuja's luxury.
Stop saying "most". It's also nobody's fault your circle of friends or colleagues are broke people. If it hurts so bad, try and mingle with the rich so you can also enjoy abuja's luxury and stop being so pained.
