The north produces all the food.

The south east receives the highest allocations.

Yet they complain that they are being marginalized and claim that they are being stolen from. While boasting that they feed the whole country.

Fortunately, it is only the fools among them that behave in this manner.

A substantial amount of crude oil taken from se covers all those tomatoes, pepper and onion s waste n north produce.

that list is trash, Abia leads ALL STATES in Palm oil, Rubber and Cassava, Ebonyi lead in Rice production.

It is true Ebonyi produce alot of rice for local consumption. But 4 palm oil and rubber Ebonyi cant boast of 50% of Edo production. Edo also produce alot of rice In Ekpoma, Agbede, Ugboha and Oria in Edo central, but not as much of Ebonyi.

This clearly shows what we have known from time immemorial, that descendants of cain are parasites, that contribute NOTHING to this country.

No wonder they are always quick to shout Eastern Region, in their quest to lump SS with them.

They need to call for a Regional Seminar/Retreat that will reverse their zero contribution to the GDP of this country.

Bunch of jokers.

Tribalist, food don done. You conveniently forgot that Abia, Imo and Anambra are oil producing states. Ebonyi state is a producer of rice and salt. Anambra produces rice as well.

Assuming the post was right(which I doubt), and the SE produces nothing, why don't you kick them out of the Union? Why force them to stay where their hearts are not?

Wondered why the list doesn't include oil and gas? May be it was a convenient omission. grin grin grin

Natural Resources in Akwa Ibom State

Aluminium - Ikot Abasi LGA
Ceramics - Itu LGA
Limestone - Ini LGa
Traces of Gold - Mkpat Enin LGA
Natural gas - Mbo LGA
Silver Nitrate, Kaolin, Silicon - Uruan LGA

Akwa Ibom has the highest number of oil palm tree per capita in Nigeria.

If only these natural resources can be explored, thereby making the state less dependent on Crude Oil

Nice one at least every state/region can now know what they have to survive; some funny tribe can now see that they have almost nothing but chest beating! I don't know how they will survive if Nigeria divided.

Nigeria imports the majority of its food.

The north could produce a lot more and feed the entire continent, sadly it does not.

Why is a region so blessed with resources also one of the most regressive and impoverished parts of the continent?
I apologize for saying this but the problem of the North is "Islam". This is not a direct attempt to rubbish the religion but the fact that Western education could threaten the belief and practice of the religion has left almost every part of the North in perpetual darkness. The few educated ones among them are hindering others from being educated. They would rather prefer to have them live as peasants.

Ever wondered why there are no Northern innovators? Truth is, there may never be because the Northern powers that be prefer that others serve them rather than serve themselves.

Religion and lack of western education seems to be the problem.

Who is holding them from going? Or they simply lack the acumen to navigate the tortuous road of separation?

No wonder they romance their frustration with chest beating over the Jungle of Biafra that is a mere mirage.

If you read the article well.. You'll see that Ogun has the largest deposits of resources for cement.. So how is dangote the richest man in Nigeria and why is Ogun IGR not the highest in Nigeria
really? Dangote is simply a business man exploiting natural resources. The yourbas encourage free enterprise. If you can make money off the land, you are free to. If you can respect the Yoruba culture and you're not proud, then you are highly welcome!
Now, as for the IGR issue, does it really matter?
