Ymodulus: you are right. I was scared bout the online payment restriction, but standard chartered has send a rejoinder to that effect. the restriction is only on ATM withdrawals. any one knows the rate for standard chartered Bank today? |

The $300 only affects online payment. I made I payment of $5000 yesterday and $5000 on Sunday and just made a payment of $1590 today. By implication it means I have surpassed the $300 rumooured wrong limit and the gtbank fake limit of $10,000. Also I called Ccare to confirm today. Both Stanbic , Diamond and Fbank to confirm. A lil help please guys, I made a purchase last week on ali express with my fidelity master card, apart from the usual charges, about 8k was also deducted from my account. It appears in my ledger balance even after several other transactions but I can't withdraw it. I'm confused. I also tried reaching true serve to request for a bank statement but none has been issued till now. Please your advice would be very appreciated guys thanks. |

samujoseph: Write an email to Fidelity CC. They would have it rectified. Its probably their system thinking your merchant hasn't been paid for a particular transaction. Happened to me with UBA, a certain balance stood in the ledger for more than 13 days. They released d money after some days, claiming the merchant didn't show up for the funds. 1 Like |

Naira depreciates further to 225/$ at
parallel market – Daily Post
The Nigerian currency, the Naira, on
Monday depreciated further, trading at
N225 to the dollar at the parallel market.
Similarly, the currency was traded at N341
to a pound sterling while one Euro was
traded for N243.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN),
however, learnt that the poor showing of
naira at the parallel market did not affect
its official N197 price to a dollar at the
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Commenting on naira’s drop in value, Dr
Evans Osabuohien, an economist, told NAN
that the recovery of the American economy
was responsible for the appreciation of the
dollar against other currencies in the world.
Osabuohien, who teaches at the
Department of Economics and
Development, Covenant University, Ota,
Ogun, noted that like Nigeria, the global
economic challenges also affected
currencies of most African countries.
He specifically identified Kenyan and
Ugandan Shillings among the worst in
currencies’ depreciation in the continent.
