The serial numbers of the cards(two of them) are still there, please anybody who is doubting me could, I beg you in the name of God to call mtn customer care line and give them the serial numbers for them to verify, please, even if it means sacrificing a few minutes of your time please do it, at-least for the sake of justice. here is ROONEYBOY'S number 08036998597, the one mtn customer care representative told me loaded the cards.

Please don't be too fast to judge, I was typing then, since you seem to trust ROONEYBOY so much, why not verify if what I am saying is the truth or not by calling mtn customer and give them the serial number of the cards. what reason do I have to lie against someone I have never met before except that I saw his advert on nairaland. If I am lying, may I never see anything good in life but if ROONEY defrauded me, insulted and yet comes online to present a good image, may he never progress in life.

Its now that I realize why trust is such an alien word in Nigeria today. Some people in Nigeria have decided to make a maga out of fellow Nigerians no matter how big or little the amount is, such a pity!

The person that defrauded me goes by the name ROONEYBOY, I have come to understand that his modus-operandi is to first gain your trust by sounding humble on the phone and also deliver a couple of times while waiting for the opportunity to strike. ROONEYBOY will refer you to his pdefense. Nairaland where he apparently simulated recommendations from people on how genuine and honest he is, now that is simply a decoy.

I sent 5 pieces of 200 naira recharge cards and 1 piece 100 naira recharge card(making it 1100 naira) to ROONEYBOY(08036998597) on the 12/08/2015 for him to transfer 1gb mtn data to my friend's mtn line(07064605050). After sending the vouchers, story changed, first, he claimed that network was very bad, that I should exercise patience which I did. Later, I called him again, this time he said he had transferred the data so I subsequently called the person and he told me has not received the data, again I called ROONEYBOY but he claimed it was network that was delaying it! This hide and seek game continued between me and ROONEYBOY from the 12th(wednesday) till yesterday 14th(friday) this time he said I should resend those voucher numbers I sent to him on wednesday and luckily for me I still have them on my sent items so I resent it to him. Then he came with a new gimmick and told me that the cards does not exist!!! I was shocked, so I tried to load one of the cards on my phone and MTN replied that the card does not exist. I was aghast, so in annoyance I went to the place I bought the cards thinking they sold non-existent cards to me but they stood their ground that the cards were genuine that I should call MTN customer care to verify them.
I called MTN customer care and they requested for the serial number and luckily for me again, I searched the trash basket and found two of the cards then lo and behold they told me that the card was used on the 12th (wednesday), the same day I transferred it to ROONEYBOY so I asked them to tell me the number that loaded the card but refused and said if there is any number I am suspecting then I should call the number and I did, to my consternation they told me that ROONEYBOY'S number loaded the cards.

I called ROONEYBOY to know why he loaded the cards and still denied doing so, it was then he began to show his criminal tendency, he left the issue and started shouting at me, calling me names and generally trying to intimidate me, when he could not succeed with that, he said I should snap the cards and show it to him on wassap(he probably thought I was no longer in possession of them) I did snapped two of those cards I found in the trash bin and sent to him on wassap, when he saw them he stopped replying my wassap messages, he would log in, read my message and log out again. Till this moment ROONEYBOY never transferred the MTN 1gb data which I paid for.

The money may not be much but the way and manner this ROONEYBOY humiliated me, insulted me and made me look like a fool is what depressed me most. I know that karma rewards all according to their deeds.

I have been patronizing Rooneyboy for some months now and believed I can vouch for his integrity,humbleness etc. I have never had any issue with him since I started patronizing him. In fact I do buy data on credit from him. Even when I forgot to credit his account as promised, he would just send me a chat to remind me and I would do the needful. That is the kind of relationship that exist between us.

He called me to explain what happened and sent the recharge card pins that are causing this brouhaha to me so that I can try to load them. I tried loading those cards but the response are the same that they do not exist. I was barred from recharging my line and told to call 181.

@OP is not been fair to this guy, all the pins do not exist which means he just picked the numbers at random. Thinking that Rooneyboy would send the data before loading the pins. I'm even surprised that he is collecting recharge cards in payment for data. Genuine cards that have been used will always respond that the card had already been used.

If you want to blackmail and tarnish somebody's image, remember this "Do unto others what you wish others to do unto you"

Rooneyboy is not a scammer and would never be a scammer. This is somebody that's gainfully employed for God sake. I hailed you Rooneyboy for standing your ground and refusing to be intimidated by cheap blackmail. God bless your hustle and belief that you have already conquered your detractors.

Honestly I don't know how I can post it here, I used a galaxy tab 3 phone to snap two of those of vouchers and sent it to him on wassap but I'm using a laptop to chat now. Please ask him to post our entire discussion but I know he will never do that!!! Since he is not denying the cards I posted here, please can you do me (and others who might fall victim to his fraud) a favour by calling mtn custmer care for them to verify what I'm saying.

I've been doing business with rooneyboy for more than a year now and so far the guy is legit. Am seriously doubting what the OP is claiming. I usually buy data for myself n for more than 10 of my colleagues on a regular basis and i can testify that ROONEYBOY can never do what you are claiming. I've even refer him to so many guys and nobody has ever complained about him.

Something must be wrong somewhere. I have been transacting with Rooneyboy for almost 6 months now. He was recommended by someone and I've even referred ppl to him. I've bought stuff worth 9k from him before yet he didn't scam me of that talk less of 1100. You could have resolved this amicably than coming over here. 2. Rooneyboy can you please make that your screenshot bigger to show his own message and time sent. From what I'm seeing, you alerted him that those cards doesn't exist on Friday whereby he claims he sent you the pins on Wednesday. Why did it take that long? When exactly did you load the card and found out it doesn't exist?

If you guys can provide what I asked above, I can make a conclusion. Like I said earlier, both of you may just be saying the truth but something happened somewhere.

on the 30th of March 2015, at about 4pm I sent #800 naira credit (etisalat) to a reseller by name marcjoe, because I trusted him, having bought data from him before, I threw away the recharge card after sending to him. He denied ever seeing It nd I couldn't confirm from customer care ,I had to cough out #800 to procure the data for the person who needed it... Tho I had decided to forget it, but this is just to tell people to trust nobody.

Why are you like this, you have decided to take sides with him without even cross-checking the facts. Now have you asked yourself what motive I have to tarnish his image if at all he didn't defraud me. On the other hand, why cant you try to verify issue since I provided the evidence rather than saying ROONEYBOY will never defraud me.
