Are we just talking about rd or REAL development?
I mean the title didn't not even mention about road but ended up showing us good roads in the midst of forest
If u want to see both good roads and commensurate architectural masterpiece, then come to Abiriba.

Everywhere in Nigeria has good and bad roads but these roads are clean. Of course opponent will pick all the bad sites and try to cover up the good ones.

The fact is, this road is not anywhere close to Enugu, this is a stolen internet picture with bogus enugu claim.

One thing in life is that you can never fool a group forever, one day they will revote.
The last time I visited Orlu, I wept for my state Imo state, through Anambra we did not witness any pothole, on passing Isseke to enter Imo state the first thing that greated us is a pot hole.

Rochas might has good intention for Imo state but his approach is what is distorting his intention.

God bless IMO State
God bless alaIgbo
God bless Nigeria.

Imo man

Rochas has a belief: Owerri must first become a megacity and then swallows the rest of Imo state under his Imo-one-city-state policy.

Those pot holes in Orlu which you recount - you need to ask: does Rochas know where Orlu is since he won re-election?

Some people even believe that Rochas destruction in Orlu was intentional - vindictive.

I had to rush and take my bath first to confirm it was you that posted this.... You see last year, I loathed you so much. I despised and hated you for one reason: You are not objective. You people are blinded by the shenanigans of Rochas and his Ogboni masters! You lot has been blinded by his cloud of spiritual magic and dust.

Mind you that I am from Anambra but did my second degree in Imo state university. I did my second degree in Imo state not because IMSU is the best of schools but only because my business are in imo and I needed to stay close to monitor them. Generally, Imo state is a glorified primary school. As am talking to you now, I asked a friend how much the are selling statement of result in imsu... Guess what Sissy? 20,000 naira... As against the 1,000 it was being sold last year!

Imsu post UME form is nothing less that 6,000 naira and we know the amount of traffic imsu draws partly due to the Owerri lifestyle young students want to experience and also because of the fake free education mallam Rochas was giving. I am a true Igbo son and a proud one for that matter. Rochas is running Imo state like what is obtainable in the North under the almajiris. Who on earth gives free education up to university level? Not to talk of when imsu is one of the major sources of income to Imo state! Why on earth is Rochas running Imo like a family business? Go and see the houses he is building all over Imo state especially the One at that Amakohia side or what! shocked shocked shocked shocked

Even Buhari screamed grin grin grin

Ask Rochas now, he will tell you that he has made money before politics...... grin grin grin grin
Meanwhile, he is buying or stealing up imo state through his son in law and Imolites are there gallivanting. He has owned up almost all the lands in Imo state. Let him try such in my Anambra.... We will burn him alive. One man in my village alone can feed Twenty Rochas from Imo state. I won't mention my village though. You people should continue being myopic ok? I love Imo state as a second home apart from Anambra. You people have very fair and beautiful ladies.... And also the old brains and intelligence that you people used to have which Rochas have bastardized with his fake free education.

Please be more objective like this ok? Igboland needs development. Imo state used to compete with my Anambra in terms of development. Now, it is now Abia and Ebonyi that are now fast coming up. Gradually, Imo state is turning to Somalia angry angry angry. Very dirty grin grin grin

if the reason why you keep insulting other states in the SE/SS doing better than your Imo state is to "attract" Federal projects, I would like to let you understand that it doesnt work, has never worked.

most of the roads in Anambra, federal/state were done by the state govt and in some cases, they then ask for refund from the fed govt.

if you keep waiting for fed govt to do road for you like in the old days, it will never happen except maybe the strategic expressway.

it is on record that the only federal road attempted by the fed govt, Osha/Enugu express in anambra state is in state of disrepair since 2010

these guys really dont care about you. it is your govt in the state whose people pass these roads daily that should be worried and thinking of how to do these roads

the problem imo has it is that it is ruled by a myopic yoruba /islamic party and not a homegrown Igbo party

For the east to develop we must decouple all aspects of our economy from the HAusa fulani alamajari yoruba economy and way of life and do things differently.

that is innovation. you cannot keep doing things the same way and be expecting different results.

I love imo though, they have beautiful girls with big waist. I know cos my aunt is from awo mma mma. they are nice people, its sad that this fulani jihad has to befall them

Abagworo:

Hey while making comments please appreciate the absence of federal presence as a result of Jonathan's neglect of Imo State. When I was screaming about his neglect of SS and SE most people were busy singing appointment praises. Now oil has fallen and money finished. That road is not a State road. During Udenwa/Obasanjo regime, Arthur Nzeribe attracted federal government to that road through Orlu and past Anara as well as the other from Owerri to Orlu and another from Onitsha to Owerri.

Let us rally round Buhari and attract federal presence to our State

If fact, you picked the wrong village to claim. This is not Udi because Udi is a grossly neglected town with almost zero government presence...

Below is a typical road in UDI...

I don't want to derail the thread with with the other horrible stuff in the link, but feel free go through that link and see the horrible state of many roads and living in enugu.

I just don't know why people lie needlessly in face of obvious sufferings and misery...

The OP pic is Udi, I have been there before, the one you posted above might be Udi too, cos Udi is a big LGA with many towns, of which Udi town is part of.

The pics the OP showed was Udi town, the ones you are showing were probably those of other towns in Udi LGA. Sullivan's is from Udi town.

What I dislike is baseless accusation. I have never insulted anyone or group on Nairaland except on extreme provocation. While you make whatever contributions or tell whatever lies that suit your saTANist agenda I implore you never to accuse me falsely again.

I am one of the few real Igbos that want the best for Igboland and Nigeria. If you dont know just learn now that I am only against those who supported Jonathan in destroying our chances of bringing positive development to the SS and SE .

I maintain my stand that the only way forward is to work for peaceful coexistence with our neighbours and other ethnic groups in Nigeria. If that is an insult, so be it.

you made a little sense. i think where you got it all wrong is saying that one person in your village can feed twenty rochas from owerri, its childish and pathetic lie. also you said in terms of development imo used to compete with your beloved anambra but its now abia and ebonyi.. hmm thats another lie which yorubas are good at. i wonder why people of anambra and others all relocate to owerri world bank area in their large numbers because of how beautifully packaged the town is and how neat the citizens are(also pretty and devoid of touts like your beloved anam...)

Oguta is the only semi-urban with entire roads tarred with streetlights and complimented with lovely old and new mansions.

Nkwerre and all those places are not completely tarred with streetlights and finally they have no blue lake and white sand. I implore most Igbos to visit Oguta for their birthdays, honeymoon and quiet relaxation. An undiscovered paradise awaits you.
