I'm not a proponent of inductive reasoning and I wouldn't advice anyone to think or argue in that line.

That Luiz a Brazilian flopped in the EPL doesn't really mean every Brazilian would flop in the EPL.

Luiz had his own issues. He wasn't defensively disciplined and he quite sucked with his positioning, those were his undoing and it really has got nothing to do with Marquinhos.

Would this happen without a rule change from last year? so why is it a determinant for the best league in the world.

PS: I do believe that the La liga is on a high having dominated the Europe's top 2 intercountry competitions for the past 2 seasons. Thats a more reasonable reason for being top than the above.
