why preach the gospel where it has been heard ova n ova? If u really want to broadcast n evangelize, why not go up north, especially borno, yobe n adamawa where dey need d gospel badly. And for ur information, dey close down hotels n clubs too but it's just dat dey see it as wat it is n obey d laws but d churches see it as fight against God n hence proving stubborn. Kanu's hotel was sealed recently

Abeg Jesus did not send us to be disturbing other people's peace in the name of evangelism.

However the exercise should be extended to mosques, club houses and retail outlets that make so much noise.

It is high time we begin to understand that noise is air pollution, and must be eliminated in our society.

Every club building i know in abuja and lagos has sound proofing... if not the residents around the area would pursue them away faster than the speed of lightning... when you are outside you hadly hear anything.

Very good, abeg they should come and help me shut one on my street, these people are always there and I'm forced to ask, "don't they have any other place to be?" like how can someone run a church from Monday to Monday?

Glad to know sanity can be restored, we'll get there someday.

making loud noises,disturbing the old and the sick will not make this nation a better place either.Its time we realized that noise pollution is a serious environmental hazard that can endanger our health....just saying cool

...there is this church opposite my house with a big loud speaker OUTSIDE(i don't know why its outside )...if they start,u would think there are over 3000 people inside the church ......whereas there are just 10...

I'm a proud Christian but i think, they should be checked.

Datz d problem wit sum churches.....dey are dame to close to each orda as if D're dragging a bus to heaven therefore causing confusion & noise pollution......in sum areas u'llsee 2 or 3 churches renting same apartment & den d ushers wud b outside. dragging members to enter deir respective church.......sum clubs can't afford the speakers sum churches operate.......im astrong believer but derzz no wrong way of doing finz ryt

Lol...I have no problem with such literally works...

i am atheistic not an anti-theist or religion. . So rather any piece of writing whether with a religious tilt is always an enjoyment to me not torture

So in a literally work i read and sieve the part that is useful to me and agrees with my reason. . after all i was still theistic when i read that e-book...lol...

You have the right to worship your God but not at the detriment of other citizens - they've got their right to a sane society my friend .
Besides , clubs don't put out their speakers to disturb others unless it's an archaic club.

I think LASG should write to the leadership of these churches like Redeem, Winners, Lords Chosen and set the basic criteria for compliance. Erring churches should be shut down till they are willing to comply.

Why we're having these issues is becos Most Cities in naija doesn't ve plan & were der is plan eg Abuja, change of purpose is done witout penalty.
Just as we ve Industrial layout, der shud be Religious layout which shud be away frm Residential areas.
Those built within living quarters, offices shud just be 4 maybe prayers, home care fellowships, meetings etc & intermittent prayers 4 muslims. But d Main worships,recitations on Fridays, Sundays, Midwk services or any dat involves use of intruments like Choir rehearsals shud be done in d main Venue.

Instead of Building churches and mosques, build industries to employ the unemployed.
Our problem is greed and not prayers. Every cleric wants to take tithe and offerings from the gullible ones regardless of what one goes through.
The cleric gets rich, many members remain the same or get poor while the youths likely remain unemployed.

My church is sound proof. I knw what it is to live close to a church. There's a church right opposite where I used to live. They have services everyday of the week, morning and evening Sunday to Sunday. And they make so much noise. I think they shouldn't be shut down but rather make their auditorium to be sound proofed.

Their 5-time daily prayers never disturbs anyone and they are even short, not continuous as that of Christians.

At most, 30 minutes, they are done

But churches? some even go 72 hours of marathon prayer and who are at the receiving end?

Innocent and unfortunate residents of their area..

Let's be unsentimental, mosques don't make as much noise as churches, at least , not for long..

Mosques make similar noise... You're the one been sentimental...

MY street that is very small has 17 churches that disturb sunday to saturdax why don't these pastors go to egypt and other muslim countries and states.
