For all I care,all the houses in Nigeria could be demolished, and churches built.... What Nigeria really needs now is Prayer,Prayer and Prayer!!!!!!

You better work. Prayers will not make Nigeria develop. Prayer will not drill a borehole for you, or remove the waste in your street. Work and Pray.


There are noise standards. This is regulatory. Religious houses of any kind are not above the law. If the noise they generate are above permissible noise levels for a residential area, then they should be warned and if they desist not they should be shut. God is not DEAF that you need to use a microphone before he hears you.

If you know any club house that disturbs you please report them.Call the appropriate regulatory agencies to check their compliance level and if they are not compliant they should be shut.

We cry religion and hyposcrisy abounds in our lives. We call faith but have no proper behavious or works to back it up. We call ourselves christians but break simple rules meant to give people peace of mind. And when we are asked we claim that because it has to do with God we must not be questioned or called to account.

We shall never develop until we remove the hypocrisy of religion and understand HUMANITY. Everyone is equal before God and deserves the same peace, joy, love, happiness and fulfilment as we so desire but that we ilegally get under the pretense of being religious.

I live in a house opposite a church, seriously is not easy and I can't complain because am a muslim and I don't like making negative comment about other religion.

I commend lagos state government for this, noise pollution is stealthy but it
highly dangerous to one's health because the long term effect
is psychological disorders.
No wonder many people behave erratically in lagos.

You might think the churches are spreading good news but consider this
scenario : You worked from Monday till Friday Night and you decided to rest on
Saturday but you couldn't because of the three churches around your house,
how will you feel ?

Also how can you learn anything from the different churches which are shouting "Fire"
all at the same time ?

is the number of churches on the street the issue or the "unbearable "noise? The former should not be an issue. Haven't you seen more than 5 banks on a street before? Do you ask who will patronize them?

I always wonder how a church will be banging noise into the ears of people in the name of vigil without considering the neighbours who will be trying to catch some sleep after a day labour. Jesus did not disturb people with his prayer he always go to a srcluded place to pray.

Reminds me of one small white garment church fond of loud singing and worship opposite my house,the landlord of the premise whose house was beside the church was having a nap in the veranda one afternoon when the church started its loud worship,waking him up in the process,he was so enraged,been a very a no nonsense man,he made sure they vacate the premise the next day.

The noise and bangs from bands and loud speakers were deafening. . the worst of it all is that the churches were all located next to each other and one could not help but wonder how they hear what the pastors are saying with all the noise,;bangs and shouts coming from the other churches .

My sister's neighbourhood was a sleep Armageddon cus sleeping in the night was another story from the noise of night vigils at night.

Sundays were more noisy than bombs sounding in the war front and one can't even discern what exactly they are saying because all the noise, bangs and shouts are mixed up.

I highly commend the government and hope they do more to tone down such noise pollutions, am sure we have this thing called "Noise pollution"

Everyone has the right to worship as they deem fit but one should always consider when your right becomes a problem for other people and a detriment to their own rights.

We are all part of the society and each of our actions has effects (positive or negative) on others [/b]

What about the loud 'Allah Akubar' Worship alerts in the morning? Nigeria is a complex country

You don't worship your Creator by disturbing your neighbour- that's not worship! Remember the words: "LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF". You cannot put him (neighbour) in discomfort while you pray... such prayers are meaningless! Any wonder why things are spiritrually going from bad to worse.

this is no end time bro but d truth. if u live next to a mosque and being woken up everyday at 4/5am everyday by d loud noise from their speakers then u will know its sometn serious. just d kinda headache u get from such alone is enough health problem.
in developed cities,dey insulate their walls for noise so whatever dey do dnt get outside to disturb odas. also mind u,most clubhouses have their walls noise proof,so dey hardly disturb anyone living around dem.
hope we all start getting things right and stop sentiments.

An anti-Christ no doubt. Calling for a complete closure of churches gives me reason to believe the hatred you harboured for Christianity. I'm not against any measure to check the excessive noise, cos I'm victim myself, but I will consider any action to prohibit Christianity from thriving as a sign of anti Christ.

Im a strong Christian but sometimes i ask myself,"after all these pollution, what has the church offered to its community"
