Nice suggestion. But tcm and ecm are one unit on this vehicle. Would have to disconnect all solenoids to test.




So far after the cleaning, 112km and no problem found seems problem is solved.

Strainers at the top of every solenoid, cleaned using carb cleaner and a 9v battery.

And finally a trade secret.

Oh yeah, they say that tends to work with those transmissions, but the puzzle is why filters should restrain hot atf, when their viscosity is supposed to be lower.

most Toyota/Lexus safe driving aid system gets disable when anything goes wrong with the vehicle that is sufficient to pop its Christmas light. This has made a lot of people who aren't conversant with their systems to mid diagnose and replace parts which aren't meant to be replaced and in the end, creates a palava for them. Pls, scan for DTC codes and let these codes guide you I. fixing your family friends car, even a simple cylinder misfire or an O2 sensor, or CTS sensor can make the system disable the VSC and VDIM system when the Check engine light pops on whereas, these system aren't faulty in reality they're just disabled.


footnote: the XV40 CAMRY is a very sensitive vehicle which have little tolerance when compared to previous generations of Camrys, and any misdiagnosis or wrong attempt to fix what's not broken will make you regret such moves

Sparkplug change, coil pack change, O2 sensor change, knock kpom sensor change.

All parts brand new and supplied by customer.

Problem 1

02 sensors bought are all downstream AF sensors.

Only ONE of the 3 sensors can be used.

I will not use any of them because the have no brand name and are very fake.

Please buy known brands like DENSO and NGK when getting parts online.

RX300

Spark plug replacement, injector service, knock sensor change.

Ensure you drain coolant using the drain tap on the bottom of the radiator before starting this procedure.

Why not relocate the knock sensor? Na so person go dey uproot engine anytime you need to change it?

Maf cleaned with contact cleaner.

New knock sensors

Cam sensor bought are not the same, toks will be used.

Cerato 2007

Head gasket change.

Traces of engine oil found in coolant, engine oil looks light brown, like it has a water mix, coolant level also drops.

Vehicle had a history of sever overheating prior to this.

Head gasket can be changed while engine is in the bay, but I'll prefer dropping the engine to get better access.

Take radiator down and strip engine of its harness, a drain tap is not provided for this radiator so it could be a bit messy.
