Hello Nairalanders, good day to you all. I have a package sent via USPS from United state since on 29th of August. The package was updating until 30th of August when it stopped tracking. It's sitting at ISC New York when I track it. My cousin paid for Int'l priority express mail whereby the package should arrive here 4-5 days. Now it's sitting in ISC NY since Aug 30. Is it that my package has been stolen or there is a delay? I need the house to assist me on this

From my experience, the mail spends up to 1 week at the sorting center in NY before leaving for Nigeria.

I've received about 5 parcels via USPS but registered and insured mail though i.e. USPS Priority shipping gets to me in about 2 to 3 weeks and USPS Express Shipping gets to me in about 10 to 12 days.

This is my own experience o.

Check the nearest post office to the address on the package with proof and means of identification. Hurry before they send it back. You know say na oyibo you dey deal with o. Good luck!

It depends on the category of mail you use. This poster I just replied used USPS First Class Mail which stops tracking once it leaves U.S. The code usually begins with LK...
Many people still use it because it's the cheapest.

It's usually better to use USPS Priority or Express because it is tracked until it reaches your local post office in Nigeria.

All the 5 packages were delivered to me by hand sef. Maybe because, GPO Ikeja is literally in my backyard.

i sent a parcel in form of a letter to someone in Nigeria and now it has arrived in Nigeria, Lagos and should be at the post office in FESTAC judging by it's last destination i obtained from it's tracking which reads NGFEST. Please what would the person need to present at the post office to claim the item? and is there any payment to be made there? the item is very small and it is in an envelope and weighs 0.02 KG. thanks.

That particular shippment is already in Nigeria. Its tracking on NIPOST page. The LN282989624US is the one that is not tracking at all.

Took about 10-15 days to get there.
Sent through their VI office and used parcel post. EMS was a bit more expensive. I don't really know what you mean by ordinary or registered mail

Try going to the post office nearest to the address on the package. Tel them you are expecting expecting pack from USPS. Go with a form of ID.

Yeah thanks bro. I've done that and I even know someone there which I always call to ask how far if they've receive anything on my name. The stories are always the same.

Please i need and more explanation on this, Someone sent me some items through USPS From USA without Tracking but he said the lady he met at the USPS office assured him that the ITEMS Will be deliver here within 6-10 days but my Question is Does Usps do Home delivery here because there is no Tracking for me to know when it will arrive so there is no way i can go to any Post office around me here when i don't have tacking number to prove it.......The person that made the shipment gave me the shipment receipt and the custom paper that he filled and he also insured it but my only worried is that USPS does not do Home delivery here Nigeria....So please someone to enlighten me.
