MTN does not give two fhucks about your feelings.

MTN is not a fundamental Human right. If you cant afford MTN Services, please port to Etisalat, Glo, Starcomms, Airtel, Nitel, etc.

Same thing for DSTV.. If you cant afford DSTV full Bouquet, go for the lesser bouquets. If that one no sweet you, try Go-TV. If you are still not satisfied, try: CMTV, Startimes, CTL, e.t.c..

This foolishness has got to stop.

Smh...... People like you that belive that they have a point most of the time have none.

Price regulations are always subtly put in place to protect against corporate greed.

Forget that free entry and free exit BS.

Rubbish! Did anyone force you to join mtn? I glo with pride and I hate mtn with passion. Mtn didn't force anyone to join them - they don't have monopoly on the telecom market

Well.. You my friend have a Herd Mentality. Just because everyone is towing a particular line of tought does not make it mandatory for you to do same.

*MTN is not a Fundamental Human right.. #UndisputableFact.
*You have the choice to switch networks whenever you like and even retain your number if you are dissatisfied with your current Network provider.. #Fact.
*MTN is a business and would set their prices as they feel would help them stay in business..
*You the consumer still have your FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT to freedom of Choice. #Fact.

So why are you having an e-rection over MTN's charges?!

Well, welcome to the world of Business.

The Government can regulate all they want but even they know their is a limit to how much they can regulate prices especially as they haven't necessarily given these networks the best of environment to do their Business in.

Do you know how much MTN pays to fuel their Mast sites?!

Do you know how much MTN spends to secure their sites?!

Do you know how much MTN pays to the NCC for every minute a site is down in punitive charges?!

Do you know how much MTN remits in Taxes to the Government for doing business in Nigeria?

Do you know how much MTN spends on compensation to communities that extort them for having masts in their communities?!

Wait.. Are you a business owner in Nigeria?! If yes, then you should know what I am speaking about.

That's why the open market system gives you the consumer the POWER of CHOICE. If you feel MTN is not giving you value for money services, you can switch networks. And if all the subscribers in MTN switch to other networks, Market forces will force MTN to close down shop and move out. Its simple Market Economics.

If this makes no sense to you, I cant be held responsible for you lack of understanding.

Thanks for stopping by.

cool

I dont know if this is the right section to post this,If not MOD's should gracefully move it to the right section which exactly is the Front-page..Last Sunday marks exactly 5weeks this issue started..I am an MTN User,A loyal customer at that..Today marks 2weeks have not being able to mark nor receive phone calls in my area here in Ibadan..Everybody is complaining as it is making Life Hell on earth for us whenever we are Home..Before now,The service here is super fast and everything is on point.

I have called their Customercare number times without number, they keep on telling us they would fix it..Have being to their Head office here in Ibadan, yet no response..I was able to get to know what exactly happened,Was told their Generator packed up or something,I dont know how long this would take to be recitified as it seems the non-challant attitude of we Nigerians in things like this at Play here..

The Area in question is Adeosun,Area of Awotan Apete,Ibadan and the Local-Goverment is Ido-Local Government..

MTN Should please come to our resuce and fix things asap..I would so much appreciate

Seun, lalasticlala Please help move this to Front Page so their Oga go see am...

Thanks

Sharaap there! hediots like you lament in your closets when things are going bad. The business is more like a monopoly and not a free market if you know what it took Adenuga to get licence to launch Glo you will know it is not free market and how far MTN went to prevent companies like VISAFONE from launching GSM service but remain as CDMA which many Nigerians are not patronising because of their poor spread.
