Decided to backup today and I faced a lot challenges. I installed the current BlackBerry link on my pc which was successful and I connected my phone via USB which showed my phone is installing but it's not bringing the dialogue box to enter my password which then results to this notice Blackberry Link cannot communicate with device

You don't need to panic...it's not a peculiar problem..its a problem between windows and BlackBerry link.

You need Internet connection to allow windows pull the required driver from the internet

Please my Q5 is requesting for software upgrade from my present 10.3.2.516 to 10.3.2.2474

In the time pass, I upgrade through my glo data plan but these days (last two upgrade), it has remain impossible due to size. Please can I upgrade the software by myself? As I have blackberry link on pc. If yes, can you please guide me through the process as I do not have access to wifi but I have Internet modern.

Go to network and connections, internet tethering , connect either using usb ( your phone should be connected to pc) or bluetooth.

Or you connect your phone network to your pc through mobile hotspot

After making sure your pc is connected to the net via the procedure I gave you, open BlackBerry link, be sure it recognizes and displays your fone on the interface, click on software update and search for.

If it finds any update, you'll see the notification...

I've successfully upgraded my OS from 10.3.1.1546 to 10.3.2.2474

I connected my WiFi to a colleague's Z10 to do the upgrading, and the upgrade was to take me 422MB but it took me twice that figure since the upgrade was in two parts; 1/2 and 2/2 and each of those parts was 422MB.

I'm just posting this to let the uninitiated know what to expect in case he/she want to trend my part

There was not much observed difference between the two OS and the current OS gave me no issue whatsoever

Yeah brother. Finally I was able to solve, by clicking reinstall driver... and it all came up to normal.

Glo is the answer. 3Gigabyte for just N1000.
On updating your software, you can follow the steps of using BlackBerry Link via laptop but if you don't have a laptop like me and doesn't want to borrow, I'll suggest you update through WiFi. It's easier, safer but slower

if you wanna update via your laptop (which is fasterand without the hassle of freeing disk space), kindly download blackberry link to your pc.( make sure your pc is connected. connect your phone to any of the usb ports available. A pop up would show, prompting you to dpwnload bb link. if it doesnt, go to 'my computer', you'll see the blackberry logo, open and you're on the way to installing bb link.)

when that is done, bblink will prompt you of available updates, click on 'update software' and you're good to go.
N.B: Make sure you have a stable network, your phone must be fully charged, back up your device first.

For me, I don't know. Why don't you give it a trial. But know what the game requirements are and match it up with your phone specs If it would run smoothly
